Introduction
It's Jimmy.  I've got a lot of circles because people know me for different things.  You might think of me as a professional skier, computer hacker, board game enthusiast, or one of a number of other things.  Doesn't matter, if you know me, add me.

Circles, circles, circles.  I've got a lot of circles.  Most of them are private and you'll only get in if I want you in.  But a couple are optional -- let me know if you want in or out.  These include:

Skiing -- If you care about my ski adventures, ask and I'll put you in.
Curling -- Ditto for curling.
Memes -- Funny stuff.  Not intellectually inspiring.
Politics -- Controversial stuff.  Not open to coworkers, family, or narrow minded people.
Photography -- If you want to see pretty pictures I take regardless of topic, ask for this.
Gaming -- Interested in board and card games?  Join this circle.
Brewing -- Homebrewers and professional brewers, even people who don't brew, as long as you're interested in posts about beer.
Investing -- Discussions about investing and individual companies.
Bragging rights
First man to ever juggle flaming torches while skiing down a double-back diamond. Been defenestrated since 2003.

Rickrolling is sexist, racist and often transphobic in context. Please share. http://boingboing.net/2015/05/28/rickrolling-is-sexist-racist.html

Just go watch it. Seriously. Go. Watch. It.

Watch through the credits, too.

I think the market is getting saturated, at least in certain areas, and we will see a round of breweries closing before long. However, the guy who took economy classes in college wants to point out that isn't the definition of a bubble. Bubble has two definitions:

(1) A rise in asset prices fueled by speculation, which in turn creates more demand as prices continue to rise, or
(2) Those round things in my beer glass that float up then pop.

Wardrobe problems so solved.
Maybe everyone in San Francisco has forgotten what a real suit looks like.

I got up early and watched the whole race. I couldn't believe Hamilton went in with only ten laps to go. He had the race in the bag and threw it away.
Mercedes executive director Toto Wolff apologised to Lewis Hamilton after a pit strategy error cost him an almost-certain victory in the Monaco Grand Prix.

Another easy fun looking Kickstarter. +Andy Brokaw do you think this looks fun?
The village of Ipswich is overrun with witches, both good and evil—can you expose the witches? But be careful: if you're caught lying, the townsfolk will suspect you're a witch, too. Here's a clever little game for 'Cunning Folk.' Continue reading →

This is cool.

(I guess I need a stuff I think is cool collection)
Yonatan Zunger originally shared to Brief Dispatches:

A group of researchers has built a way to mine the giant corpora of pictures people have posted publicly (on sites like Picasa and Flickr) and build time-lapse images of landmarks. This involves huge technical challenges of identifying landmarks, building 3D models of them, stabilizing the images, and normalizing the motion and lighting -- and so far, they've managed to find over 20,000 such images, showing everything from changing seasons, to building construction, to moving glaciers.

They've made a video showing off their favorites: https://youtu.be/wptzVm0tngc. You can read the paper at http://grail.cs.washington.edu/projects/timelapse/ , and hopefully they'll soon have a way to see all their results.

I came in with a flat a year ago... They replaced the tire, but didn't tighten the lugs sufficiently and the wheel came loose two days later. They reimbursed me what I paid another mechanic to fix it, so I gave them another shot when I needed new winter tires. What should have been a simple install took two days; after for hours of work they told me to go buy hub centering rings. I went to another mechanic who informed me the wheels didn't use hub centering rings, and they finished the job the next day. For all my hassle and time, they offered seven dollars off the overpriced road hazard warranty... Very nice people, but not technically competent. I'll be going elsewhere from now on.

Had carryout several times. Every single time at least one thing would be wrong, even when we ordered by the number. The food is good, the hours are great, and the prices are unbeatable, but I'm amazed how often they can mix up different dishes.

I stopped in for lunch around 11am on a weekday. The good was good; not amazing, but certainly good for the price. We were served by the "Restaurant Manager", however, who rarely visited our table. She was curt, unfamiliar with the beer selections, brought the wrong salad dressing, and basically looked like she'd never worked in a restaurant before. No plans to return; there are places in this neighborhood with food just as good and service that actually make you want to come back.
