Introduction
It's Jimmy.  I've got a lot of circles because people know me for different things.  You might think of me as a professional skier, computer hacker, board game enthusiast, or one of a number of other things.  Doesn't matter, if you know me, add me.

I have a large number of circles, but with the advent of Collections, I use those instead. Almost everything I post is to a collection; if you don't like posts like that, just unfollow that collection. Once in a blue moon I'll post something truly public, but that's rare. If I post something privately but not to a collection, it's probably been restricted to friends, family, or geographic area. The only non-public collection I have is my Politics Collection, which I curate membership of. While I enjoy a good political debate, I prefer to limit the debate to people who can do so rationally and calmly, and for professional reasons, I don't include coworkers.

In related news, stress is practically non existent post mortem.

It's just going through a phase.  It will grow out of it.

I'm not sure this would be a good thing...

Edmund Blackadder and his loyal dogsbody Baldrick could be set for a comeback – if producers can afford Hugh Laurie’s wages.

+Jeremy Ellwood it's just an idea, not confirmed and certainly no confirmed cast. The intent is to get the cast back.

My trivia night does dirty jokes to break ties, and I'm running low after winning several ties. Who's got a good dirty joke? The best ones aren't one liners, but aren't extremely long either...

+Jimmy Brokaw Next up:
A little girl goes to see Santa.
"Ho ho ho!  What do you want for Xmas little girl?"
"I want a Barbie, and I want a GI Joe."
Santa looks confused.
"Don't you mean Barbie and Ken?"
"No, I want a Barbie, and I want a GI Joe."
"But Barbie comes with Ken, sweetie."
"No.  Barbie comes with GI Joe.  She fakes it with Ken."

Anyone looking for a job? I know many of my followers are qualified.

Back in mid-2014, I put out a call (http://andp.lc/1LrBO3m) for a full stack LAMP developer who'd want to be part of a special project for +Android Police, and the final result after finding the right person (who is still very much with the team) was +APK Mirror

Now, I'm looking for another developer, this time also with experience in design, to take charge of +Android Police itself as well as related projects. I'm tweaking the previous post, but the gist is similar.

The candidate should be able to work fast (i.e. it'd be their primary task for the duration) but without cutting corners. I value taking a reasonable amount of time off to solve a problem the right way as opposed over hacks and spaghetti code.

The qualifications needed are proficiency in PHP, JS, CSS, HTML5, regex, responsive design, and MySQL; familiarity with Apache (specifically .htaccess), Wordpress, proper source control techniques; ability to debug and think analytically. If the candidate can't answer medium-difficulty questions about any of the above, I'd rather keep looking (having learned this the hard way).

The position is paid, of course. I strongly prefer an independent freelancer rather than a development company. The position is ongoing - there will always be stuff to do. If you feel passionate about Android, +Android Police, +APK Mirror, and our team, you'll be a great fit.

Please let me know if you or someone you know is interested down in the comments or by emailing thejob@androidpolice.com with
- the resume,
- list of skills and proficiency levels,
- portfolio/experience/projects,
- StackOverflow and github profiles,
- and introduction.

A good candidate would have already shown his proficiency by creating open source projects or racking up StackOverflow points.

Your physical location is irrelevant - the position is remote, though I'm located in the Pacific time zone, and the more time we have to work together, the better.

As the lead developer and architect, they would interview with me if chosen.

Because reasons.
Because sometimes you'd rather play Tamagotchi or Snake instead of Candy Crush.

Watch all the way through, the ending is the best part.
