I really like this toy. I figure that I sold me soul to to devil (Google) and all the rest are stealing my data from me. Ghostery gives me the opportunity to make that explicit and stop the bleeding.....Google might want to rebrand Doubleclick in their name -- but I happen to know they bought Doubleclick.

In the long run I'd like to see clearer relationships where you know what you are being sold as as the product, and they cannot productize you without providing at least an acknowledged dollar in return, but I know very well what Google gives me, and I am quite willing to give them a semi-exclusive contract to data about me in return. (Amazon also has a valid claim --- no others.)

I just ran into what Chief Justice John Marshall considered an ill regulated militia, and I'd say that the Chicago Police would fit his definition. (The Life of George Washington, pg 33).

But during the press conference, Mohamed explained what he really wants to do: go to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for college. In the meantime, he added, “I’m thinking about transferring from McArthur to any different school.”

They are still a Fascist organization.   Not being gay myself, it wasn't the reason I left after one summer -- but anti-gay is in keeping with their basic agenda.

Yes, they want to survive and therefore want to keep their membership up.  I say F them.  Kill this evil group.

Homo Sapiens is an ugly species, like many.  Maybe when we are absorbed into the Net we will learn to behave better....

Will Mankind even notice when Homo Sapiens become extinct?
A frail, white-haired former Nazi SS guard has described in harrowing detail how he watched one of his comrades batter to death the baby of a Jewish prisoner at the Auschwitz extermination camp and admitted that was “morally complicit” in the crimes against humanity committed during the Holocaust.

Tonight I called out Donald Trump. Donald Trump has made it perfectly clear that he cares about exactly one person – Donald Trump. And that kind of man can NEVER be the President of the United States.

Um.....First we bury the Repuglicans. Then we go after the Democrits. The order is very important.

All I know about Hilary is that the Right Wingnuts hate her; which is enough of an endorsement for me.

I've Met Elizabeth, if only briefly, and aside from the anti-Wall Street government thing she basically created, she seems to be a genuine person.

Charity is the only valid purpose of government. Business is a branch of the government.

+Brett Williams No, they generally don't have much power over much of anything, other than voting -- and there are constant efforts to disenfranchise them (often successful), so even that tends to be overshadowed.

"My thesis is that people who are powerful in other ways will also be able to use that power to control government, which I'd think should be obvious and expected..." -- yes. That's why the government hasn't been doing its job.

How do we reduce the number of sickos?

The press feeds the public a lot of information on really offensive crimes. This is gross, but it is not happening as often as the press would have us believe.

Can't say they have the best personalities, but after a year I'm really happy with the fence they installed. I can't say that I was pleased a year after the last company did a bad job. ----- Two (three?) three years now and the fence is still as straight and solid as the day it was installed, and the cedar is getting that nice old patina without a sign of loose timbers.

The employee attitude depends upon which store you go to. Some places are much more helpful than others. For large establishments I think Atlas is both nicer and usually a penny cheaper; which I leave in the cup. If you don't like the Kappy's near you then I suggest going to a nearby smaller place that is having to compete with them, and is probably selling at the same price. On the other hand, some of their stores have very nice staff.
