There are a lot of kinds of spiritual shifts beyond spiritual awakening, and they all are to be embraced. This blog post can help you discern the difference as well as figure out the appropriate next steps to embracing the unfolding of your spiritual journey. Share if you enjoy it. Thanks!

To go into deeper issues, we have to have a certain level of calmness. If we are too upset or triggered, we can not go deeper. It is like my massage metaphor. If the outer layers of muscle are still tense, you can't get to the deeper layers of muscle and fascia. In this way, if we really are in situations and jobs and relationships where we can't relax at all and are constantly upset, we often need to leave them to calm down enough to do inner work to get to the core issue. Otherwise, you will simply be lost in the upset emotion and dealing with the same types of issues again and again and again.

As people drop into deeper issues, they often come up against something that they don't feel like they can handle or want to let go of. This, of course, is the next boundary line for their ability to heal and/or expand. However, many people turn back, and so this is where their growth stops. It is often the point where someone stops working with me. A student hits a wall and says, "No, I can't go into that issue." As always, people can choose to go as deep as they want, but if you truly want to know the truth and be free, then you have to say, "yes" to this next issue, especially if it seems like a big one.

I made this blog post a part of my latest newsletter because there are so many critical topics that people have learned to be silent on. Speaking up mindfully is a necessary part of maturing as spiritual people. Please share if you enjoy it. Thanks!

Thanks, Lisa. I appreciate your kind words. If you are moved to do so, I'd appreciate a review posted on Amazon. It helps the book get shown higher in search results and therefore end up in more people's hands and hearts. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004V9GDJI

Has God Turned His Back on You?
One of the powerful and powerfully uncomfortable feelings that some people have during an awakening is the feeling that God has turned his back on them (Please understand that "his" is a conceit to English language--I don't believe in any gender for God). I...

At the end of experiences, we no longer need life to be any particular way. We can be at peace with whatever experience that is arising. Please share if you enjoy this. Thanks!

I talk a lot about being open-hearted, but the experience of this isn't necessarily what people expect. In this blog post, I talk about the uncomfortable truth around being open-hearted. Please share freely. Thanks!
