Excited to see this in Singapore (sg.gafesummit.com) and Australia (adelaide.gafesummit.com)  next month!

August 4th marked the five month anniversary for Breakout EDU. After having eye-opening experiences playing escape rooms in Canada with a group of students, Michael Wacker and I decided to take the day off from work and brainstorm how we could bring the concept of an escape room into the classroom.  After 8 hours of mind-scientist-style collaborating, we had a draft plan. We started with a few design principles: * We knew th...

The Melbourne Summit is now sold out.  What can you do if you didn't get a ticket?  Have no fear, you have options....

1. Attend the Adelaide Summit the week after (adelaide.gafesummit.com)
2. Sign up for one of the Melbourne Pre-Summit Events
3. Request your own Custom Summit at edtechteam.com/request

Looking forward to seeing you!

We hope you got your tickets to the EdTechTeam Melbourne Summit while they were available at early bird prices. Even though the early bird rate is finished now, you can still get tickets at the regular price (and it's still great value!) but we are down the last few, so if you're planning on coming, you better get in quick!

Of course, there are always the full-day Pre-Summit workshops you can attend...  They'll be pretty awesome too...

Great graphic and tips from +Tony Vincent on how to use my new favorite tech tool.

New Post & Infographic!
I attempt to explain what Periscope is and how I use it. I've included some handy tips, too. 👍
I find myself explaining Periscope and how I use it a lot lately. Educators are eager to live broadcast to connect to each other and possibly use it in their classrooms. So, what better way to explain my take on this new video streaming service than in an infographic?

My mind is blown on so many levels. +Veritasium  and +SmarterEveryDay just created a dual sync video about the direction toilet water flows in the northern and southern hemispheres. Totally interesting videos, but the dual sync thing is even better!  Watch them both using this awesome tool: http://youtubedoubler.com
