As a comic nerd, I have great appreciation for these oil paintings by Andreas Englund.

So I reckon this track is some next level shizzle.

SBTRKT has been getting under my skin and giving me a queer feeling that I might be missing out on something big ever since I heard his rework of some 90 UK Garage.

Check it here -
http://hypem.com/item/wjn2/TJR+%2B+Xavier+-+Just+Gets+Better+(Sbtrkt+Gutter+Mix)

His new album is pretty much essential if you want to claim to be down with the whole UK Funky vibe. But I think SBTRKT is a little more than just a a producer in the latest genre meme.

Everything I hear from him has this magical appeal. Something that goes a little beyond the typical "getting excited about dance music" and pushes me more into the range of "wow thats really interesting music and I now I feel like dancing!"

On first listening this track is totally off kilter, the vocal seems strained and off key. But you play it again and the emotion comes out, the feeling, the honesty pours out of the speakers and sort dribbles hopelessy onto the floor.

This sort of real music, real emotion is so hard to make in the typical hyper hyper dance genres. But I have played this track out and it works, it works for vibe, it works for pure weird pant creaming grooviness.

Even if you don't like his tunes. Follow him. I reckon if SBTRKT is doing something new then you are about see a whole sub-genre forming in the wake of his activity.

Do you know of other seminal producers? Am I being to much of a fanboy?

Here is another one I dig SBTRKT - Rekorda

consistently bad service. Thousands of euros spent here & they won't even allow a demo a hundred euro item. Had many experiences that leave me thinking 'never again', but they have a semi monopoly here. will continue to try and avoid them at all costs & advise others to do the same. Products of course are great, but that's no differentiator.

Just enquired about availability and was promptly 'confirmed' for a booking and given some bogus terms and conditions. All clearly illegal. Watch out. Don't go near these guys.

Went in looking for a lock, got service but was watched like a hawk by both owners. Uncomfortable. Anyhow.. I needed one so I went and got my bike to measure it for length. Got immediately asked to take it out again as there wasn't enough room and it didn't have a stand. Its a freaken Bike shop for gods sake! ..at least I thought it looked like one. Took my bike outside and rode off... will never return and recommend you don't either
