I've been rather busy with traveling and taking photos - I published an iPhone summary of the last 4 weeks.  Here's a sample #iPhone  image from #Copenhagen  - one of the cities I visited recently.  See them all on the blog at http://nomadicpursuits.com/blog/2015/4/17/4-weeks-3-trips-9000-photos

Denver is a beautiful city, and today's post is a collection of photos that I took there one fine summer morning about 5 years ago.  Why am I just now sharing them?  Well, I am a little behind, but there's more to it than that.  Hope you enjoy the pics!

If you shoot with a Micro-Four-Thirds camera like I do (I use the Olympus OMD EM-1), then this review of the Panasonic/Leica Summilux 15mm f1.7 prime lens might be of interest.  It's a wonderful lens and performs great in low light.  Leave the tripod at home, friends! #mirrorless   #travel   #photography

Today's post - a random assortment of photos from Dublin - has something for everyone. Saints and sinners, it's all here. A church, a distillery, a library, and even a jail. I even threw in some graffiti to keep it real. Come have a look!

Like all photographers, I love to shoot sunset.  But sometimes you are in the wrong place when the light starts to get all fabulous.  Solution?  Run like hell, and shoot the best-looking thing you can find.  Here's a dozen pics from Austin one night when that happened to me.

I have been an Aperture user for 5+ years, but finally just made the switch over to Lightroom - and it's great!  (big surprise)

In today's post I share my thoughts on making the switch, the problems I encountered along the way (there were many), and how +ON1 and +Matt Kloskowski 's tutorials got me over the hump.

http://nomadicpursuits.com/blog/2015/5/19/farewell-aperture-hello-lightroom
Well, I finally have left Aperture behind and moved over to Lightroom.  It was a challenging process in several ways, but I am on the other side of it now and Lightroom is great!  Click on in to read about all the fun I had making the switch!  (That was a joke - it wasn't really very fun at all. But it's behind me now, YAY!)

What's better than a photo of some rusty old gas pumps, antique automotive signs, an old pickup and a tractor?  A dozen photos of them, that's what.  Enjoy.  :-)   http://nomadicpursuits.com/blog/2015/3/2/going-back-in-time-in-salado-tx

Getting busy in Las Vegas - http://nomadicpursuits.com/blog/2015/2/18/getting-busy-in-las-vegas

I recently spent a few days in Las Vegas, and came home with about 1500 images.  Here's a collection of 10 to get you started!

Old photos, new results :: http://nomadicpursuits.com/blog/2015/2/7/old-photos-new-results

Do you ever go back and re-process photos that you have previously shared? I do that sometimes, and find that it's a great creative exercise.  But recently, I HAD to go back and re-create an old photo for a client, and it took me forever to make it look like how it looked when I first processed it, about 5 years ago.  And so I learned a lot in the process - and I am sharing those learnings and my observations in today's post.  Have a look!

I love the work of the Impressionists, and thus I love going to the Musee d'Orsay when in Paris, France (which sadly is not often enough). But we went there back in November, and despite the "no photography" rule, I fired off a couple of million shots <ahem>. Here's an ode to that lovely museum, and in particular some shots of the absolutely gorgeous cafe there. All together it's a dozen pics - enjoy!

Change is good, and often it's needed. My most recent blog post is about that very topic - in the context of moving to mirrorless. It's brought about a lot of changes in my photography. Here's the story of why and how.
