Most people I know can't even imagine what it must be like to fight for country. To die for an idea. We can’t even draw on empathy for that. But here’s the thing, the concept of fighting and dying for an idea is prevalent throughout the world. Even amongst the bad guys. But we call them extremists. The difference between us and them however is that we believe we fight for the idea of good. Those other guys fight for the idea of evil. Only, the sense of purpose is the same inside of each soldier’s heart. This is why we will never win a war of ideas. And why maybe we need a completely different strategy against our enemy than annihilation.

Anyway, enjoy your day off, America. Maybe at some point between beers, think about this--is there any idea you would give your life for? If country doesn't pop in there at the top, then my first sentence is true. And don't worry, tomorrow you'll be back at work doing your part to turn the wheels of commerce without threat of war affecting your daily grind, and you won't have to think about this again until Veteran's Day.

You want me to pay attention to something? Get me to try something new? Make me think about an idea a certain way? Use emotion.

When you see your children fall in love with something, you give them the opportunity to let them run as far as they can with it. My daughter loves soccer.

Getting the Shot with Travis Rice

As a final hurrah to the 2014-2015 snow season, GoPro brought the world's best skiers and snowboarders on a three day helicopter adventure deep in the backcountry of British Columbia at CMH Galena. Take a peek behind just one of the many incredible shots captured at the GoPro Athlete Summit, as Travis Rice and GoPro Production Artist Matt Cook tackle a heavenly windlip on the final day of the camp.

Children in the CMS School District are currently taking four days of tests ... to see how well they test. This is one teacher's amazing note to students.

So many late nights watching David Letterman when I was a young man working the second shift in the USAF - cracking open the first of many beers. Eating Dominos pizza. Enjoying a comedian who wasn't Johnny Carson. Even though I wasn't a regular viewer for the past decade or so, it's weird turning this page. Time is funny. And heartbreaking. Love that he ended the show with my favorite Foo Fighters song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrVjOUIoo6Q

The sale of websites with the domain “.sucks” is raising new questions about the Internet’s central administrator, just months before the Obama administration plans to loosen oversight of the organization.

Too logical. It'll never work.

Basically this is my response to every initiative Sanders presents. Because, this is America. We like the idea that we all have the potential to make buckets of money off of one another even if that means driving each other into debt. Screw what's right for the greater good. Screw young people. If they want to succeed they have to earn it by digging themselves out of debt like the rest of us. This isn't Denmark. Don't like it? Leave. #BernieSanders   #College

Besides, big money controls every ignorant voter in this country. And big money will never, ever, ever give up.

Either the American people stand up for their OWN interests right now... or we may as well flush the entire country down the tubes in the wake of CitizensUNited and the TPP together = it will just continue to get worse.
