OMG! A "952"! Quarantine it (!), preferably in Alameda.

Here are some things we know about Millennials: they have record amounts of student debt. They are renting or sharing, rather than buying. And they are pushing major life milestones, such as marriage, back further than ever.

At Study.com we make education accessible - and affordable.

Using adaptations of Maslow's pyramid to express needs is popular because it's powerful... Here it's applied to #UX needs...

a Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs... for designers!
http://bit.ly/1dLqu2V

"Creating something for other people is hard. It is hard because we imprint ourselves on the things we create. Michael Beirut - in his wonderful book 79 short essays on design - refers to this as the “fallback strategy.” This is the preferences and insight earned over time which can be summoned at will. This is why when presented with a blank slate we often start creating things for ourselves. There is nothing wrong with this. It’s easy."

The calm before the storm on Day One of the Spring 2015 +Study.com company #hackathon . Lots of folks stayed overnight and overall the quality of the presentations was top-notch.

My accessibility project didn't win, but we'll no doubt roll out enhancements over the next several months; the winning team did some fantastic UI work to deliver very interactive quizzes which should also hit our site soon!

Today we wrap up our +Study.com Spring 2015 hack-a-thon. My team's #accessibility project looks strong but there are some great projects in the mix this time around...
Take online courses that are fun and engaging. Pass exams to earn real college credit. Research schools and degrees to further your education.

Here's an awesome #bigdata  project from our +Study.com spring 2015 #hackathon  .  Take millions of user sessions, map common user flows through our Study.com lessons, and discover interesting connections that we never anticipated.

I saw this presented and thought: "Here's a graph of real user data resembling the learning-paths +Peter Norvig showed at Google IO 13."

Next stop: Powering user engagement and education by leveraging this data!

Today at Study.com : discussing site performance ideas with our front end community of practice, Board Game Tuesday, preparation for my team's accessibility project at our Spring hack-a-thon, and our weekly managers meeting.

What does your day look like?
