Fare Thee Well Tour

Pre-Show Chicago Preparation  - 8 hours sleep per night, exercise
with Jillian, healthy food, eating light (almost), prayer and meditation, stretching, no music until the show. Music Mindfulness.

No music expectations.
Only to have a fine time...or a "real good time."

Only 3 shows, and so many T-Shirts. Maybe I’ll wear a day and night shirt. Would not be seen “dead” in some of
those “stylish” tie dies.

Visions of Copperheads

A few years ago I cut down all the small scraggly pine
trees growing along the edge of our property so that
the fledgling cedar trees would have room to grow and expand.

This year I noticed the vines that were beginning to
grow up and around the trees that would gradually restrict and choke their free growth.

Sunday, hot as it was, I decided was the time to cut these vines down. In flip flops and shorts armed with my clippers I walked along the road and into the edge of the woods.

Cutting the vines in multiple places, pulling them out of the trees
I felt like I was making a rescue, and perhaps in 900 years, these
very trees may grow like the great cedars planted by the Shoguns in Japan.

One cedar, then another, and gosh I had not noticed the one
farther back in the woods with the vines smothering it. I took
care of that, and suddenly noticed I was itching, and it was
time to leave.

I took some large steps and hops as I was leaving the woods.
In the periphery of my left eye, I noticed a pattern I had just seen a
few weeks ago. It was a copper head perfectly coiled up.
And it was a big one.

It was funny because I saw the pattern in my mind, and knew what
it was, but it took another second for the reaction to reach my brain
that said “you just walked by a large copperhead and could have been bitten.”

As I stood out on the road, I thought about going back in the woods
and watching it….but decided better.

Really thankful that I was not bitten.

Auto photo back up help please:

just noticed that I'm only seeing photos from July 5th backed up on my computer.

When I check google photos from my phone, I see all are backed up. With my computer, I've clicked the "all" photos, and it still stops at July 5th.

Probably a "user error" but I cannot figure out how to  be sure all my current photos are backed up. Suggestions? Many thanks.

Gosh, I’m a father….whoops, grandfather, for the first time.

Seeing her hours after birth was a moving experience.  One
more generation, one more step toward… immortality…or at least
an extension of time.

Observing her in the clear baby crib, I wondered what is the
transition from womb to planet like? What is going through
her mind? My memories are obscured.

Skin so soft….the term “soft as a baby’s butt” has real meaning.

Little wisps of very fine hair on her body. Covered with the
cap that makes her look like a elf.

Itsy bits little hands and fingers….have not seen her toes yet
as all wrapped up in swaddling clothes.

Gabrielle’s lungs are healthy and demonstrated.

A wonderful Fathers Day present from my son David,
and Kara. Yes, son, your life has now changed.

Raleigh Mortgage Strategist providing lowest cost mortgage rates selected from 9+ national lenders while providing smooth and fast closings with in house loan approvals.
Introduction

I’m known as The Raleigh Mortgage Strategist. But I’ve also been called The Godfather of NC Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Broker, Mortgage Banker, New Home Mortgage Specialist, FirstTime Home Buyer lender, Jumbo Mortgage Expert, and Mortgage Refinance wizard.

My fastest Triangle, NC purchase closing was 8 working days. My second fastest purchase closing was 9 working days.

My mortgage practice is focused on Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill Realtors and home purchases. Though I will admit, in the last few years, I’ve done far more refinances than purchases. But that’s this economic cycle.

My *Mortgage Google Plus Page* is Here.

Financial Planners in Raleigh and Durham and I click. They manage assets for safe returns. I manage the mortgage and liabilities so that our mutual clients pay the least total mortgage interest cost over time. There is perfect synergy.

How I Work

Triangle, NC Mortgages are approved locally with in-house underwriting. We send the mortgage closing documents and the funds to the attorney. That means Due Diligence dates are met early with smooth on time closings.

Low Mortgage Rates? We represent most of the Big Banks (over 9). The best part though, is I get to select the lowest Raleigh mortgage rates and best loan programs from those lenders, so that you do not have to make 9+ phone calls.

Have a Raleigh Mortgage Question? Just ask me or call 24/7 at 919-569-5930. Nights and weekends my elves will use the batphone to reach me quickly.

Corporate Investors Mortgage Group, Inc., is one of the few, if not only, independently owned and operated Triangle Correspondent Mortgage Bankers. *Did I say that our Raleigh Mortgage Loans, whether FNMA (Fannie Might), FHLMC (Freddie Mackerel), FHA, VA, USDA, are all approved in our Chapel Hill or Raleigh office?*

In what seems like a past life,
I started Mortgage Choice, which grew to 4 offices and 50+ employees in the Triangle. We closed over $2 billion in mortgage loans in the Triangle. We rocked and had a great group of people.

We were ranked twice in INC Magazines INC 500 list of fastest growing companies in the USA. We also ranked twice for The Triangle Fast 50.

Professional
I’ve been fortunate to serve the North Carolina Mortgage Broker community in the very formative years. Hence, the moniker, The GodFather of NC Mortgage Brokers.

* Twice President and founding member of the N.C. Association of Mortgage Brokers (NCAMB), which has now merged with the NC Mortgage Bankers.
*N.C. Broker of the Year.
* Board of Directors and Secretary of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB)
* NAMB-Chair of the Best Business Practices Committee for Phase 1.

For Fun
I enjoy listening to live local music. There is just something about the rhythm and flow when a band is really on. Attended many Merle and FloydFests with my music pals.

The last two Octobers I’ve spent from 12-17 days in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park with a longtime best pal doing a photographic road trip. These trips have rivaled my best ever college road trip memories. One day I’ll put some of the photo’s up.

Very much into photography and video. Check out my YouTubechannel. Really enjoy web conferencing, Google Plus, and marketing.

I often wonder where Dexter is when we really need him. Ignored the Game of Thrones for a year or so and have now watched the entire series and am reading the books.

Love military history. My Great Uncle Johnny Prowse was in WW1. I have his mess kit engraved with the great battles that he was a part of-Alsace-Lorraine, Chateau Thierry, Argonne Forest and others.

US Marine history and the South Pacific battles cause me to stop in my tracks.

Family

Married to Donna for 33 years and have two wonderful kids who are on their own now. My son is a US Marine and my daughter is in medical device sales.

Life is good.
And getting better.

Bragging rights
Endured 3 tours of Iraq as a parent, including Fallujah.

Excellent training today at "Apple for Real Estate Summit" and Social Hour. Short and fast tips for efficiency and fun. #2 Go Review- Jon Parker is an exceptional individual and Realtor at Go Realty. Yes, he has years of successful work with buyers and sellers. You can be confident and assured working with Jon. What he doesn't say, is he is a past president of the Durham Regional Association of Realtors. Or, that he has a huge personal commitment to Durham Habitat For Humanity. (He's solicited me for the bike fund raiser for the last two years, to no avail.) Or, that he is the Chair of the Community Service Committee for Durham Regional Realtors. Jon is totally committed to Durham, and to your needs as a buyer or seller. We had a recent transaction where I was the lender. Jon's clients were great people, well informed, and happy with both their house and Jon.

Mark and his team did an energy audit on my leaky 1979 home and plugged the leaks by more than 38%. More than that would not have been cost effective. Have seen my energy bills go down, but as Marked advised, the biggest savings will come when it is time to replace the HVAC, refrigerator, and the other appliances. Months later we had questions about mold that suddenly appeared on items stored in our basement after the intense summer rains. Mark came back, did a thorough review and advised what the problem was. He also noticed a place in the basement that was missed on the first trip. He is sending his men back to finish it at no charge when they are in the area. I recommend Mark and his work. Nov. 5th Update - Mark's crew came back and sealed up the basement area mentioned above. So nice to have that service committment.

Have been using Kathy for many years for my haircuts. She's been able to work with my cow licks and has been very consistent for me. The few times when I have had a problem with a haircut, she's been quite responsive in fixing it. Alisa at the front desk is excellent also.

First time. Didn't have reservations and was concerned about wait time. Got seats quickly at the bar. The service was excellent. Bartenders friendly and knowledgeable. Be sure to try the Catalan style Cauliflower with broccoli, apples, raisins, and pinenuts. Delicious. It's loud and the drone dub music in the background took a few minutes to tune out.
