Dear Google Photo Back Up-

No doubt it’s a user error.

My photos are not backing up and I need to
edit that photo with Gabriella my grand baby right now
so I can post to FB and Instagram and show the amazing
growing of a 4 month old.

And it’s been over 2+ hours of frustration.

Here’s what I’ve done.
- googled the problem and clicked the assistant in photo back up.
- deleted every thing the assistant said to.
- turned wifi off and on.
-turned photo back up off and on.
- tried to back up my android phone directly to my mac book. A
total cluster funk. Have you checked out that Android file transfer software
lately? May be a good idea to put an intern on that project. It really
sucks.

Do you have a further suggestion?

Is it possible you are having a bad day? If so, you should put up
a sign to let folks know.

In the 10 minutes I’ve been crafting this post, you still have not
backed up 10 photos that were taken hours ago.

Is there a technician you can drop off via drone? Or self
driving car? That would be really helpful.

If not, You can call me on my cell phone. I know you have that
number.

Thanks Google Photo BackUp, you are the best.

PS - I would put a cool photo with this post….but I cannot
back up or upload or do anything. No doubt user error.

PPS - when I try to edit on my phone I get an “Photo Editor not installed on phone.” But I have it. What’s up with that?

Compton & Newberry at Forty Acres Music in Durham on Sat Sept 26th

Together, Mike Compton and Joe Newberry mine one of the more neglected segments of country music history, that period between the ’30’s and ’40’s when brother duet music was transforming into bluegrass.

Mandolin Magazine calls Mike Compton "…one of the most recognizable and respected mandolin voices anywhere.”

Joe Newberry is known internationally for his powerful banjo work; he is a prizewinning guitarist, fiddler and singer as well. The Gibson Brothers’ version of his song “Singing As We Rise,” featuring Ricky Scaggs, won the 2012 IBMA “Gospel Recorded Performance” award.

Joe is a frequent performer on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion.

Boot Repair and Re-soling?  Just got my Vasque boots back from Dave Page, Cobbler, in Seattle. Total resole.  Did a great job, look like new, and super turn time. Actually got them back early in plenty of time for upcoming backpack trip.

Local Music Resource (Triangle, NC that is) you may not know about.

Forty Acres Music is a under the radar non-profit. It is run by a revolving group of music appreciators who have brought in 5-8 shows a year for the last 15 years.

The focus has traditionally been Americana, bluegrass, blues, local and eclectic musicians, with the occasional Japanese Irish Celtic flute master.

The main venue is Five Oaks Clubhouse in Durham which is a comfy 105 chairs, a few tables if you arrive early, and an elevated stage.

Promotion has been by an email newsletter and a few PSA announcements. Someday there will be a FaceBook page and we will update our website.

On Sept 12th, we are featuring The Old Ceremony at the certified organic Ramble Rill Farm in Hillsborough. Attendees can come as early as 4:00pm for picnic, games, and farm tours.

On Sept 26th Compton and Newberry are playing.
Please enroll for email announcements. We always have fun.

The Old Ceremony  will have a Hoedown at RambleRill Farm on Saturday, September 12 at 8:00 PM

RambleRill Farm is a certified organic farm in Hillsborough. Jane Saiers and Darin Knapp are the proprietors and have graciously opened up their special place for this unique event.

Concertgoers are invited to come early (from 4 PM onward) to the farm to enjoy a bring-your-own picnic, to play outdoor games (corn hole, croquet, horseshoes), to take a guided or self-guided farm tour, and to wander the farm's Wendell Berry Woodland Trail.

Auto photo back up help please:

just noticed that I'm only seeing photos from July 5th backed up on my computer.

When I check google photos from my phone, I see all are backed up. With my computer, I've clicked the "all" photos, and it still stops at July 5th.

Probably a "user error" but I cannot figure out how to  be sure all my current photos are backed up. Suggestions? Many thanks.

Raleigh Mortgage Strategist providing lowest cost mortgage rates selected from 9+ national lenders while providing smooth and fast closings with in house loan approvals.
Introduction

I’m known as The Raleigh Mortgage Strategist. But I’ve also been called The Godfather of NC Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Broker, Mortgage Banker, New Home Mortgage Specialist, FirstTime Home Buyer lender, Jumbo Mortgage Expert, and Mortgage Refinance wizard.

My fastest Triangle, NC purchase closing was 8 working days. My second fastest purchase closing was 9 working days.

My mortgage practice is focused on Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill Realtors and home purchases. Though I will admit, in the last few years, I’ve done far more refinances than purchases. But that’s this economic cycle.

My *Mortgage Google Plus Page* is Here.

Financial Planners in Raleigh and Durham and I click. They manage assets for safe returns. I manage the mortgage and liabilities so that our mutual clients pay the least total mortgage interest cost over time. There is perfect synergy.

How I Work

Triangle, NC Mortgages are approved locally with in-house underwriting. We send the mortgage closing documents and the funds to the attorney. That means Due Diligence dates are met early with smooth on time closings.

Low Mortgage Rates? We represent most of the Big Banks (over 9). The best part though, is I get to select the lowest Raleigh mortgage rates and best loan programs from those lenders, so that you do not have to make 9+ phone calls.

Have a Raleigh Mortgage Question? Just ask me or call 24/7 at 919-569-5930. Nights and weekends my elves will use the batphone to reach me quickly.

Corporate Investors Mortgage Group, Inc., is one of the few, if not only, independently owned and operated Triangle Correspondent Mortgage Bankers. *Did I say that our Raleigh Mortgage Loans, whether FNMA (Fannie Might), FHLMC (Freddie Mackerel), FHA, VA, USDA, are all approved in our Chapel Hill or Raleigh office?*

In what seems like a past life,
I started Mortgage Choice, which grew to 4 offices and 50+ employees in the Triangle. We closed over $2 billion in mortgage loans in the Triangle. We rocked and had a great group of people.

We were ranked twice in INC Magazines INC 500 list of fastest growing companies in the USA. We also ranked twice for The Triangle Fast 50.

Professional
I’ve been fortunate to serve the North Carolina Mortgage Broker community in the very formative years. Hence, the moniker, The GodFather of NC Mortgage Brokers.

* Twice President and founding member of the N.C. Association of Mortgage Brokers (NCAMB), which has now merged with the NC Mortgage Bankers.
*N.C. Broker of the Year.
* Board of Directors and Secretary of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB)
* NAMB-Chair of the Best Business Practices Committee for Phase 1.

For Fun
I enjoy listening to live local music. There is just something about the rhythm and flow when a band is really on. Attended many Merle and FloydFests with my music pals.

The last two Octobers I’ve spent from 12-17 days in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park with a longtime best pal doing a photographic road trip. These trips have rivaled my best ever college road trip memories. One day I’ll put some of the photo’s up.

Very much into photography and video. Check out my YouTubechannel. Really enjoy web conferencing, Google Plus, and marketing.

I often wonder where Dexter is when we really need him. Ignored the Game of Thrones for a year or so and have now watched the entire series and am reading the books.

Love military history. My Great Uncle Johnny Prowse was in WW1. I have his mess kit engraved with the great battles that he was a part of-Alsace-Lorraine, Chateau Thierry, Argonne Forest and others.

US Marine history and the South Pacific battles cause me to stop in my tracks.

Family

Married to Donna for 33 years and have two wonderful kids who are on their own now. My son is a US Marine and my daughter is in medical device sales.

Life is good.
And getting better.

Bragging rights
Endured 3 tours of Iraq as a parent, including Fallujah.

Sent my Vasques to Dave for re-soling after searching reviews and REI recommendation. Had a definite deadline for my trip and boots came back 6 days early. Shipping from East coast to West not a problem. Next time I will cram my boots into one of those big USPS boxes. Check with Dave if shipping questions though. Very responsive by email, notified when received and that my deadline was noted. Quite happy.

Have been using Kathy for many years for my haircuts. She's been able to work with my cow licks and has been very consistent for me. The few times when I have had a problem with a haircut, she's been quite responsive in fixing it. Alisa at the front desk is excellent also.

First time. Didn't have reservations and was concerned about wait time. Got seats quickly at the bar. The service was excellent. Bartenders friendly and knowledgeable. Be sure to try the Catalan style Cauliflower with broccoli, apples, raisins, and pinenuts. Delicious. It's loud and the drone dub music in the background took a few minutes to tune out.

Excellent training today at "Apple for Real Estate Summit" and Social Hour. Short and fast tips for efficiency and fun. #2 Go Review- Jon Parker is an exceptional individual and Realtor at Go Realty. Yes, he has years of successful work with buyers and sellers. You can be confident and assured working with Jon. What he doesn't say, is he is a past president of the Durham Regional Association of Realtors. Or, that he has a huge personal commitment to Durham Habitat For Humanity. (He's solicited me for the bike fund raiser for the last two years, to no avail.) Or, that he is the Chair of the Community Service Committee for Durham Regional Realtors. Jon is totally committed to Durham, and to your needs as a buyer or seller. We had a recent transaction where I was the lender. Jon's clients were great people, well informed, and happy with both their house and Jon.

Mark and his team did an energy audit on my leaky 1979 home and plugged the leaks by more than 38%. More than that would not have been cost effective. Have seen my energy bills go down, but as Marked advised, the biggest savings will come when it is time to replace the HVAC, refrigerator, and the other appliances. Months later we had questions about mold that suddenly appeared on items stored in our basement after the intense summer rains. Mark came back, did a thorough review and advised what the problem was. He also noticed a place in the basement that was missed on the first trip. He is sending his men back to finish it at no charge when they are in the area. I recommend Mark and his work. Nov. 5th Update - Mark's crew came back and sealed up the basement area mentioned above. So nice to have that service committment.
