Living in the Sixties

Looking back I found this photo of my 67 Chevelle Malibu.

I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this car, I rebuilt the engine and assembled in my fathers garage, installed the engine under an old beech tree. I spent a lot of time with friends and girlfriends ;-) cruising the beach strip and street racing. When I sold it many years back it brought tears to my eyes as it was trailered away only to find out the new owner wrapped it around a hydro pole

I've owned many old cars including my first 1970 Chevelle, 69 Nova, 65 BelAir and 66 Impala but this was my most memorable car

Thanks, I'll need it, not a lot of action in the forecast but also taking my boys up for the March break for some snowshoeing and good times!

It's Been a While

It was great to get out for a quick shoot tonight, The moon was out and conditions were excellent. I decided to head to a location I had tried to photograph in the past during sunset but the lighting was never right, I figured a night shot would help this location stand out and with the moonlight to help light things up it was my best chance.

I've been away from G+ for a while now jumping periodically to see whats up. I haven't been shooting a lot so it was great to dust off the cobwebs. Other interests have been keeping me busy even though photography is always on my mind.

Well I think it's time to put my attention back where it belongs ;-)

I hope you enjoy! Share if you like it....

How can I resist and not participate with my submission to the #OurPlanet  category

Here is my submission for the latest edition of +Plus One Collection  and this worthwhile charitable cause; The Samburu Project, a non-profit organization, that provides access to safe and clean drinking water to communities in Kenya. It's my honour to submit to this cause and I'm grateful to have participated in the last two editions.

A big thanks to +Ivan Makarov for his continued dedication to this project and good luck to all participants

This is from a trip I did a few years back, with spring on the way I'm looking to plan another adventure/photo trip in a truely traditional Canadian way. These trips are both physically and mentally challanging but with challanges comes great reward.

A Select Look at Ontario, Canada

Traveling is awesome! Traveling around the world is totally awesome!

Taking the time to explore the area you live in is, well... unbelievably awesome!

Why you ask?

Well you have the opportunity to return to location's often enough to really get to know the area and experience conditions in a variety of different light and season's. Everything from the grand landscapes to the small detail's that truly make up our world.

So I say put the leather to the ground and explore what's around you!

I hope you enjoy this collage of images I have taken over the last few years of my home province of Ontario

Winter projects

Sometimes winter calls for a project or two, this has been brewing for a while now and after visiting a couple friends over the holidays I was inspired to get at it.

This is a wild black cherry cutting board I whipped up this afternoon out of wood that came off my parents property, we had a tree milled up a few years back, with over 150 board feet left, i left the bark on one side to add to the aesthetics. I have a feeling I'll be making more among other things!

What makes this more special is it will be a momento of my fathers passing two years ago
