I agree with the author. Personally, I don't think there are any real challengers it there.

Why this sudden use of a picture that makes Hillary look 80? She's only 4 years older than Sen. Warren.

I've been ready for it my entire life. Bring it,please. 😊
I am ready and everyone else needs to get ready, because it is coming at a faster and faster pace.
A new study out of Pew Research Center shows how Americans view the future of tech and what they're not quite ready for.

My wife finds it extremely odd talking to our phones or the infotainment systems in our cars. For me it's second nature. 😊

Personal opinion: Chinas military is where the U.S. was many decades ago. Preparing to throw large amounts of personnel and equipment far and wide.

Yet this its not how future conflict will be fought.

Long range missiles of various types, small unit actions, and air actions are where were going. It's just as expensive monetarily as what Chinas doing, but the other costs are much less. China is looking at might through large equipment and mass troops, while the U.S. looks at might through technology.

While China has big plans, I don't see them as a threat. They play the global game as well as anyone, and know how it's done and what's at stake.

They won't be reckless.

They don't want to fight. But like other powers, they want to be prepared for any 'eventualities', should the occur. Personally, I think they should be investing heavily in technology as well, and not just relying on cold war era beliefs in 'men and materials'.

I see cooperation and apportionment. ... Just my few cents ... I could be wrong, YMMV, etc. :-)

Yes, yes and yes on every point.

"You know when you move out of your parents’ house and live on your own, how you start hanging out with your friends’ families and you realize that actually, your family was a little screwed up? Stuff you always assumed was normal your entire childhood, it turns out was pretty weird and may have actually fucked you up a little bit. You know, dad thinking it was funny to wear a Santa Claus hat in his underwear every Christmas or the fact that you and your sister slept in the same bed until you were 22, or that your mother routinely cried over a bottle of wine while listening to Elton John.

The point is we don’t really get perspective on what’s close to us until we spend time away from it. Just like you didn’t realize the weird quirks and nuances of your family until you left and spent time with others, the same is true for country and culture. You often don’t see what’s messed up about your country and culture until you step outside of it."

I see alot of ranting from Americans about ObamaCare is bad and how every man has the right to own lots of guns because it was written down 200 years ago....  That seems to be the main focus in life apparently.

What's that's all about?

As you only have to look at countries around that world that have universal healthcare for all, paid straight from taxation to see it's clearly a good thing as those countries are higher up the global healthcare index.

As for guns, how many tragic shootings do they need to work out that more guns aren't a fix for guns.

For a nation that put someone on the moon, sometimes the mind boggles as to where it all went wrong....

Don't get me wrong, my country is pretty screwed up in many ways too.

Look at this.  Starbucks kicks butt huh?  Thanks also to Google and Level One for bringing this to us.  All their stores in the US will have this by the end of the year.  To check service near you, go to, type in your zip code and then check off Google Wifi.

One day at a time. Live life for all it's worth (you only get one). Plan what you can, take the rest on faith. Learn. Play. Love. Live.

I, my wife and our oldest son are currently using Samsung Note 2's (Stock, 4.4), I and my wife are using Nexus 7's (2012, Stock, 4.4) and there's a Chromecast plugged into the flat screen by which we watch the world and entertain ourselves.

We're cord cutters (haven't paid for TV in over 2 years). Thanks to laptops with HDMI ports, and memberships with Netflix, Hulu Plus, Google Play, Amazon Prime, VUDU, Aereo and select others, we have all the on-demand and live material we could ever possibly consume, all for a recurring monthly cost of $40.00 U.S.
