This article was written with writers in mind. However, the advice she gives is useful for anybody who's chasing a dream. Be brutally honest with yourself; if you really don't have time then should you reprioritize? Or if something else is holding you back from succeeding? ‪#‎amwriting‬ ‪#‎dontgiveup‬ ‪#‎stopnegativeselftalk‬

Nicole L'autore wrote this article aimed at writers, but the entire thing is full of great advice for anyone who spends time on social media. My favorite pieces of advice are "get your grind on" and "pause to appreciate the beauty in your own journey." What is your favorite part of this post? #doubt #fear #workhard #dontgiveup #enjoythejourney #amwriting

"How many black ops terms do you know?" +Terry Odell

I write romance, but love reading adventure stories too. I knew almost half of the terms. Woohoo

I wrote flashbacks in my story and ran into trouble. I managed to confuse some of my beta readers. Check out this advice for what works and doesn't when you're writing a #flashback . My favorite question the author asks is do you absolutely have to have the flashback in your story? The answer for me was no and yes. I'm changing the ones I answered no on and using the suggestions in the article to improve the ones I answered yes to. #amwriting   #amediting

Some effective tips about editing that I'm just learning. The tip that I discovered on my own last fall that I totally agree with She's Novel on? While you obtain much-needed objectivity (1 -3 months of time away from your precious story) before embarking on another round of edits, make the time easier by diving into another project. A new story. Posts for your blog. It's helping me tremendously. Have you tried that? What do you do to gain objectivity before editing? #editing

I think sprints help, especially when you're tired or frustrated or distracted. Knowing other people are working through the same thing and you're conquering the blank page together -- priceless. #wordsprints #amwriting

The first blog post of the year is up. The start of a new year is an exciting time. I'm starting a Dear Diary series. Since I'd feel weird actually writing to Diary, I've named my diary Morgan. Throughout the year, I'll write Dear Morgan posts telling her about the ups and downs I'm experiencing with each book. In this first post, I tell Morgan what word I picked to focus on for the next twelve months and why I picked it. If you picked a word for the year, share in the comments what the word is and why you picked it.
