When you realize you don't have to be who you always thought you were, AND that others aren't who you always thought they were--that's when the magic happens!

Personal Transformation Takes Courage - What Did You Do With Jill?
whatdidyoudowithjill.com

Jill provides her thoughts on why for most of us it's often difficult for true personal transformation to take place.

Went here with friends and family and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly priced. (Similar price range to most restaurants in the area.) The wasabi tuna I had was probably one of the best tuna dinners I've ever had. I would have liked a little more creativity with the sides (was mashed potatoes, butternut squash and broccoli for all of the dinners) but on the other hand, my husband loved that aspect. My daughter really enjoyed the duck as well as her interesting martini cocktail. Overall great atmosphere and very professional service!

Never had South African food before, now sorry I waited so long! Have been meaning to try Karoo all month while we're staying in Eastham, but hadn't gotten around to it until last night. Loved the look and atmosphere of the place. The bar had a great selection of beer and wine as well as some interesting cocktail choices. We weren't too sure what to order, but I settled on the Pap and Wors, which is a delicious sausage with a type of polenta. I'm thinking it was the best tasting sausage I've ever had. No fat in it to speak of, and very tasty. The sauce was also good. My husband had the Peri Peri chicken which he really liked it. He also got the high protein salad which was full of quinoa and lentils and other healthy treats! My daughter ordered some ribs, which she said were delicious. She also had the Malva pudding which we all tried. I likened it to a sort of gingerbread, but without the ginger. Was very tasty! We were surprised and happy when the chef/owner came out at the end of the night to greet all the customers. She told us how she makes everything in a traditional way the way her family in South Africa does it. Highly recommend that anyone should try Karoo when they're at the Cape looking for something other than the usual fried fish or lobster roll!

Most varied and interesting menu anywhere in the Eastham/Orleans area! There were at least 9 different dishes on the menu that I was dieing to try after my first visit. So far, I've tried 3, and they've all been very good. The spaghetti squash and meatballs, was delish. But I think I liked the Southern Fried Chicken even better. They also have awesome homemade desserts, and a really cool cocktail menu. It seems to be a great place for the locals to hang out and so far we've made this our bar away from our bar while staying in Eastham this July.
