Are you looking forward to supporting families after they have a baby?   Learn key skills in this Postpartum Doula Training to nurture, educate, and empower mothers and families towards confidence in their new roles. 

Postpartum doulas offer NON-MEDICAL support, share evidence based information, and provide relevant education to postpartum families.

This training is taught by, Jill Reiter.  She is a Certified Postpartum Doula, Certified HUG teacher, mother to four fun kids, and wife to a supportive husband.  Postpartum doula work is her passion and she is thrilled to share her love for supporting families with you.

Participate in this CAPPA Approved Postpartum Doula Training and help make a real difference in the lives of new families.

Cost: $400.00 (includes training manual) for workshop. Early Bird Registration rates: $350 by September 30, 2015. Late registration fee: $50 if you register AFTER October 30, 2015.   Refer a friend discounts available ($25 off for each friend that registers, up to $100 off).

This 2-day training is the first step towards certification. There are several other requirements that will be discussed in class (you can also go to www.cappa.net for a full list of certification requirements). This unique opportunity will give you the education and skills necessary to support families through the transition to parenthood. Just some of the things you will learn include:

*Scope of Practice for Postpartum Doula
*Supporting parents in the immediate postpartum period
*Breastfeeding support
*Baby care techniques
*Calming and soothing techniques
*Postpartum Mood Disorders
*SIDS/Back to Sleep Campaign
*Listening and communication skills
*Record keeping and contracts
*Creating and marketing your business
*Networking solutions
