When I was a little girl, my grandpa used to call all costume jewelry - "The Queen's Jewels". He kept a cigar box full of baubles and would let me pick something out on every visit... and although the necklace I'm wearing today isn't from that vintage stash, it still makes me think of that ritual as a kid.

Today's New Outfit Post is a little glam, a little casual and happened to nearly match what my husband was wearing (minus the jewels, heels and lipstick, of course). http://bit.ly/IqGyax

Bloomies! I HIGHLY recommend taking a knitting class from the Yarns Unlimited! Here is what I made for my second project during the beginners class! http://bit.ly/1hdC5Y4

It's a cable knit slouchy hat, using size 10 and 11 circular needles and 10.5 straight needles (and a cable hook).

I've been in the market for a cropped leather jacket and last week I had a brilliant idea - to upcycle and remake something already in my closet! I chose to chop off the bottom half of a 1970s coat that wasn't getting my rotation in my wardrobe.  A simple binding from scrap fabric finished it off and I'm certain I'll be wearing it A LOT this season!

What do you think?  What would you upcycle from your own closet?
