I'm careful not to load the front too heavily. It makes it unstable and could jackknife. I can really load up the back and the back panniers with no problem though.

You've all been so patient. Here is #witb

A very special package from +Aixe Djelal, who was paying it forward from +Ricky Albores. Good magic for a bad knee. I needed it more than you even knew!

I even managed to smile in one of the selfies! #winning

Unless she goes on about the bald fuck who dumped her, but otherwise no.

Here's a funny story. I was going up to do laundry this morning and found a neatly, probably store rolled, joint in the parking lot. I picked it up and put it in the dock cart, then proceeded to do laundry and forget all about it, leaving it behind in the cart. I wonder who found it.

I hope someone is having a good time with it. I probably wouldn't have smoked it anyway.

There have always been bike-related traffic deaths, but the recent few weeks are really depressing. Multiple tragedies in or near my hood. Seattle is supposed to be committed to Vision Zero, but I don't see the results yet.

I brought home the trailer and extra panniers to help with the great Quaxing on Tuesday. My coworkers were impressed with my cargo space.

Personally I hate pulling a loaded trailer, but it will only be fully loaded for about a mile on a flat trail, so it should be okay. There are only empty boxes in it right now.

Same here, no auto. Which explains a vast array of trailers, bags, packs, and racks.

This is my brother's bike commute to work. There are so many bikes! I cringed a little when he rode over the trolley tracks, but he knows what he's doing.

I'm so jealous of his work's bike facilities. I bet they have a nice locker room too. Sigh.

Check out my dumb commute with a song I like.

More Cabal than wool on my Wooleaters coffee ride today. It is in the 80's though. I take the worst selfies.

Just a 22.5 mile jaunt up to Shoreline. We hit a coffee shop next to a methadone clinic, which led to interesting clientele. The shop itself was quite nice with very good, well made coffee. https://onecup.org/locations/

Story

Public librarian, likes to bike.
Introduction
I've been a teen services librarian since 2006, with forays into instruction and service learning coordination and a solid foundation in reference and tech help.

I ride a bike for transportation, for work, and for fun. I also like to hike in the wilderness and around the city. I have a kayak I don't use enough and a lot of good people around me.

This is such a great park. Lots of open grassy space for playing, a walkway that goes around the outside that's fun for kids riding bikes or walking, a colorful playground with all the fun things. There's a sandbox with donated trucks and shovels. And a restroom! No water feature, but it has a lot of shady space to hide from the sun, but plenty of open space to soak it up.

There's plenty of parking, although it does fill up on weekends. You might want to bring your own TP for the toilet, as it was completely out when we were there. The hike itself is beautiful. It starts out as an easy stroll with many viewpoints of the stream and waterfalls. It then gets an intense elevation gain the last mile before Rachel Lake. Totally worth it. There are a few muddy spots and it's nice to have a trekking pole for the descent. If you have time, continue on to Rampart Lakes. It's worth the extra time and effort.

This playfield has a lot of fun features and is very close to the Community Center and local public pool. The kids always have a great time here. The only things that could make it better are more accessible restrooms or a water feature.

A true dive bar with bar food. The food is good though and there are a few beers to choose from. If you like sports, you can definitely see them here.

Good selection. Prices are a little high, but the employees are usually super nice and helpful.

They always have interesting beer on tap, and the small amount of food they offer is excellent. I love to get their Hawaiian flatbread pizza and add jalapenos. The service has always been good too. I'm not a TV sports watching person, but they have 3 screens and show local, national and international games. They are not obnoxious though and you can still enjoy a conversation while they are on.
