I’ve wanted to write this story for three months now. It’s the reason I haven’t written anything on this blog since November. It blurred my thoughts and drained my creativity, so I waited – unable, or perhaps just unwilling, to write about anything else in the meantime. The story finally has a conclusion, which means …

Do you make time to travel alone? Why do you do it?
I always carve out some time each year to travel solo, even though I don’t have to. Here's why I do it and why I think every female should too!

Tell me about your favourite animal encounter during your travels!
I booked a tour of the Treshnish Isles, departing from Fionnphort on the Isle of Mull. Our first stop of the day was Lunga, home to thousands of puffins.

"Dress for Success" is the best tip. I often trick myself into thinking I can work in my pajamas, but I have yet to succeed in being productive that way.

It's not actually all that surprising to see Japan top this list. When we were there, it was cheaper to fly from Tokyo to Sapporo than take the bus from Tokyo to Kyoto.
Fun facts about flying coming at ya. Did you know that every day 8.3 million people are cruising the skies on some 93,500 flights? That's about the population of NYC. Every. Single. Day. So where are most people traveling? Our guesses were...

Have you been to Melaka? If you haven’t been, what have you heard about it?
Eclectic architecture, friendly people, and mind-blowing food: Here are a few reasons why I think Melaka should be on everyone’s SE Asia bucket list.

I started out volunteering with Workaway and Helpx, which is a great option if you have a little bit of money saved. I also taught English for a couple of years, which is an awesome way to make some money and travel at the same time. Eventually, my blog helped me find jobs travel writing, so now I freelance full-time to make money (and pay for a place to sleep!). Shoot me and email if you have any more questions.

This time last year, Brent and I were climbing Mount Fuji. It's still one of my favourite travel experiences. What were you doing in August last year?

Traveler. Blogger. Roaming Expat. Lover of Full English Breakfasts. I just want to see everything.
Introduction
In September 2011, my boyfriend and I decided to quit our jobs, take our savings and buy one-way tickets to Paris.

To keep our costs low, we seek out work and volunteer opportunities wherever we go. We are as much roaming expats as we are travelers.

My goal is to provide the inspiration and information to make traveling and relocation possible for anyone and everyone who has ever wanted to see the world.
