The #BBB  and #LocalSEO

You may not like the BBB, but there are 8 ways it can help your local visibility:
I may be unpopular for saying this…. But here goes: You should consider getting accredited by the Better Business Bureau. It can help your local visibility (if you're in the US). Mind you, I am no fanboy. There are a few valid reasons to skip the BBB: Money (although it's only a few hundred ...

#webmastertools   #mobilefriendly   #googlewebmasters

It’s a frustrating experience to come across a site that doesn’t work well on a mobile device, so we're starting to tell mobile searchers which results are #mobilefriendly . For those who have sites that aren’t yet mobile-friendly, we’re here to help with new tools and documentation:

The Mobile-friendly test lets you see if a particular page is mobile-friendly: http://goo.gl/CYEBZK

The Mobile Usability Report highlights mobile issues that we found across a site: http://goo.gl/gIvTVj

Our Developer Site has brand-new documentation on how to create a mobile-friendly site, including how-to guides for common platforms: http://goo.gl/PqVm5F

Another reason it's important to link Google My Business to Adwords. #localsearch   #localppc

*Location extensions can now show ratings from local Google My Business listings *

Last year we made it easier to manage location extensions by automatically linking your Google My Business location information to your AdWords accounts (http://goo.gl/e8Mnby).  Starting today, ratings from your Google My Business listings are eligible to appear in ads with location extensions enabled on desktop and tablet. People increasingly rely on the opinions and experiences of others to help make decisions like which pizza parlor to visit, where to get your tires rotated or which dentist to make an appointment with. Local ratings make your ads more useful to consumers searching for local information, and can improve your ad performance.   To showcase your Google My Business reviews in your ads, make sure to have location extensions enabled in your account. Thoughts? I am just wondering how Facebook will end-up determining which posts are "too promotional".
Brands that share promotional posts will now have a tougher time of reaching the news feed. Here's why and what you need to know...

The things we can do with a little tweeking.

#richsnippets   #schemamarkup

A new and improved sitelinks search box available for all sites

Lots of new and awesome updates. Some highlights:

1. It has site-specific autocomplete. Yes, we suggest queries just for your site.

2. Using schema.org Actions markup, you can tell us where your site site search is located and we'll point the search form there.

More here:
http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2014/09/improved-sitelinks-search-box.html

https://developers.google.com/webmasters/richsnippets/sitelinkssearch

schema.org Actions are a very important addition to the world of structured data. You really need to understand them if you haven't dug in yet. The best place to start:

http://schema.org/docs/actions.html

Basically, actions grow structured data beyond simply describing your content into the realm of how users can take actions around/with your content. You saw them last year in GMail (https://developers.google.com/gmail/actions/overview ) so they're not just for websites like the searchAction used for the sitelinks search box we're announcing today.

Thank you to L3 Limo and our driver George. My husband had an epic birthday night. The bus picked us up promptly at 9pm. Unfortunately we had to wait for the birthday boy to arrive, but the driver was very patient with us. We ended up the 42 passenger bus which we highly recommend. Everyone had an amazing time! I highly recommend. Thank you for an epic surprise birthday. I could not have pulled it off without L3 Limo.

We were very concerned about the 2013 tax season but Matt Miller really put our mind at ease. We went into his office expecting to have to pay this tax year, but we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we were actually going to be receiving a refund. Very knowledgeable, professional, and timely. We look forward to doing business with him next year. Thanks Matt!

I have visiting Divine Designs on several different occasions. I have had my hair cut there, as well as my daughter. I have also had a bikini wax. The staff is great and very attentive. As far as haircuts go, they offer services at a price for every budget. They have staff at different levels, such as Junior and Master. You can opt for a Master hairstylist and pay more, or if you are on a budget you can opt for a Junior stylist. I have worked with a Junior stylist before (with my daughter). They do really good work, and just to make sure, they have the Master stylist check the work after the stylist is done. Although it took a bit longer when my daughter had her hair cut by the Junior stylist, I felt that she did a great job and they really wanted to make sure that we were satisfies with the service. I have referred many people (they give a $20 credit for referrals, although I have yet to see any credit, not even for my daughters cut so make sure you receive credit for any referral. Tell your referrals to make sure they tell the concierge to give you credit for the referral) and they have been very satisfied with the services provided.
