Remember- It's so easy to get caught up with the technology in our lives (including this Facebook update) that we lose track of the incredible world we live in. I'm guilty of it too from time to time. Happy Earth Day and don't forget to go outside!

The Wanaka tree, which is quickly becoming an icon of New Zealand, was accidentally planted when a farmer cut off a branch of another tree to use as a fencepost and stuck it in the lake.  The branch began to grow roots, and became the tree that exists today- nearly 50 years later!

Last weekend I joined +Trey Ratcliff  and some other keen photographers in Wanaka, NZ for the first-ever Lake Wanaka Instameet.  However, rather than going to the cocktail hour I decided to go Aurora hunting instead (very typical).  Here's one of my favorite shots from the night...

This Bristlecone Pine tree, one of the oldest on earth, was already growing during the rise of the ancient Egyptian civilization in 2000BC.  At the fall of Roman civilization it was already over 2,000 years old.  It is still alive today.

Introduction

I have been fortunate enough to have spent a significant amount of time traveling and viewing momentous scenery through the lens of the camera. I'll be using G+ to share my photography.  I wish to convey dramatic moods through my imagery, capturing fleeting moments of light and shadow as well as the timeless wonder of the night sky.

My photography represents scenes from around the United States, Australia, and Southeast Asia and my portfolio is constantly expanding as I broaden my horizons and explore new territory.

Just got my iMac back from these guys after getting it repaired under Applecare. Helpful, fast, considerate, and proficient, Glenn and his team provided me with the highest level of service I've received on any warranty repair in the last several years at least. The task at hand wasn't minor- my computer required a new hard drive and logic board. However, the work was completed quickly and with attention to detail; best of all, under Applecare, it was completed at no cost to me. They run a smooth operation and get my highest recommendation.

I very rarely write reviews on here but Florida Collision Center went above and beyond in their work efforts that I am compelled to. Without hesitation I can highly recommend this shop to anybody that needs paint or body work. I took my car in because it was having paint issues. They repainted my car in the amount of time they said it would take (very important) and did an amazing job matching color and by washing/cleaning the car before delivery. There was a bit of confusion because they accidentally did a bit more work than was initially agreed upon. Without hesitation, they stood by their initial estimate and just asked me to recommend them to my friends. I felt like a valued customer every time I entered their shop and their business ethic is apparent from the get-go. They get my highest recommendation!

A great job on a recent dash cd player installation. They were able to fit me in immediately, and gave me a very competitive prive on the work. It was a high quality installation for a good price performed quickly. Highly recommended.
