So far so good since upgrading to Android N on my Pixel C... no keyboard issues or app conflicts. I love the new notifications.

I love how easy it is to make reminders in Android.

Fingers crossed on this one...

Just rooted my Pixel C, and enabled multi-window. Super simple walkthrough!

Anybody know if there is a way to make an regeneration adapter work without a restart? I have a couple Ethernet adapters, and I often enough need it to connect to a piece of network equipment. The thing is the Ethernet adapter is only recognized if I boot up with it plugged in. Once it is recognized I can unplug and plug to my heart's content.

Any idea how to make it persistently recognized? Thanks!

Wow, pretty scathing review of Apple's claim at open source.

Pretty awesome article explaining the differences between ARM & INTEL processors and why you don't see much from the latter in the mobile space. Really worth the read!

Finally, something that will help me relax around bed time.

When did Google start charging for outgoing calls to phone numbers? I have had a $1 credit (or whatever I got at the outset) for many years, and have used it daily on my computers to place phone calls, and just today I ran out of credits.

Anyone else actually bought phone credits for Hangouts? I make phone calls on my Chromebooks all the time this way.

Do you like TeamViewer? Are you too cheap (like me) to fork over the just shy of a grand for a license? Aeroadmin is like Teamviewer 5/6 in appearance and performance, but it is 100% free, as in beer, and works great for one-off tech support. It is, of course, fully encrypted with AES+RSA.

"Wow, much excitement - we have an awesome news to share Jesse"
They really got me with this email subject. Being a suspicious IT guy, I was skeptical and expected the body of the email to be full of terrible grammar and spelling. However... these Kiwis are doing it RIGHT! Awesome email ad by NotablePDF, they have a sense of humor for sure!
