Google chrome has really been a problem for me lately.  It is a developer problem I admit, but when debugging pages it will lock up or slow to a crawl.  Real pity because I want to use it.

I think a lot of Google Products have been becoming subpar as of recent. It has basically since hangouts has been brought to android.

Starting to play with Go (finally).  Still the first day but... I am really enjoying it so far.  I recommend everyone  takes the "Tour Of Go":

That is a good question.   While I really enjoy Scala these days I don't get many options to use it because while Java is a far cry from perfect (small understatement :-P )  it does "good enough" and all the less enthusiastic developers just don't feel like learning Scala.  Many of them are busy enough becoming proficient Javascript developers and don't feel like a new Language.

That said I know several companies that use Scala and none that use Go.  Of course that has to be taken with a grain of salt since I am deeply embedded in the goings on of Scala and barely know Go at all.

I just checked the TIOBE index and Go is actually ahead of Scala.  It seems to be that Go has at least a chance since it is a C/C++ that is actually easier to use/link/test/parallelize.

I think this is a real "no-brainer".  Geoscript is ideal for udig.
