T-minus 10 days to the next Family Jam! All ages and skills welcome. Bring your instruments, and we’ll have extras, too. This is not about sounding “perfect”. This is a safe, judgement-free (yes, that includes self-judgements, too! 😉) sound playground for…

Songbird Mama of Two Wilds
Introduction

A stage performer at age 8, a professional Nashville recording artist by 13 and a record deal on the table by 16, I was born to sing. Disenchanted with the mainstream, commercial track I was on, I set my music aside for years until the pregnancy of my firstborn reawakened my voice.

Motherhood has been the greatest flint and tinder to my creative fire. Each of my kids have their own special song, intuitively revealed as I carried each of them in my womb. Sounding during the labor of my second son helped me birth his 10 lb. 13 oz. form in half the time of my first, pushing for only 30 minutes. After experiencing the power of singing during labor firsthand, a passion arose in me to help other birthing Mothers do the same.

I embrace music from a holistic perspective. Singing is more than entertainment, it’s entrainment of the mind, body, spirit and world as we experience it. All of life itself is intricately composed of vibration (sound) in constant motion. As human beings, each with our own built-in creation tool, our voice, we have the opportunity to create our world anew. Music carries the listener on a journey, an experience unique to each artists’ creation perspective. Our bodies eventually fade, but music lives on and changes lives forevermore.

From this understanding, the role of a musical artist carries a great power and responsibility, to be conscious of the vibrations we share with the world. I pledge to inspire, to move people (and mountains) with my voice and music, to share my whole, beautiful and sometimes messy truth each and every moment I am on this sacred Earth, and encourage others to do the same. This life is precious. Only you can be you. Show up in all your glory. Rise and shine.

A beautiful, thought provoking, conversation sparking park right in the heart of the city. My oldest son loved walking the trails and reading about the sculpture.

Prepare for an adventure when you shop here. The first time I shopped here, I spent a long time trying to find the right shoe for my toddler, and when I got to checkout, the lines were so long, I left with nothing. We visited again last weekend and had success buying some great shoes for my husband at a decent price. If you're not in a hurry, you dont mind digging or waiting in line and you are looking for mainstream fashion at somewhat discounted prices, give this place a try.

Panoramic views of The Sound. Loads of tide pools for the kids to splash in and explore. This is one of my new favorite beaches. The views are incredible!

Many places to explore, work out or just relax on a blanket with expansive views of Puget Sound. I am grateful to have such a convenient, free space to gather for my #SeattleSoundWeavers Family Jams. Parking is easy, and though it's a bit of a haul over the walking bridge to the beach, it's totally worth it. It's beautiful here any time of the day.

A beautiful forest oasis right in town. Our kids love the trails, and parking is a breeze. Perfect place to be, among the trees, on a hot summer day. Hoping to catch a glimpse of the owls soon.

It started out beautifully. I was so excited to find a fluoride free dentist, and they provided some wonderful educational materials that helped us get on the right track with my son's oral health. After the initial exam, though, things went downhill fast. They gave us discounts for being uninsured, then magically tacked on fees during my son's last visit when my Mom took him (who didn't know what to expect). Clearly one sided fillings became two sided at check out. Do not trust Dr. Taylor to do major procedures, especially with children who need extra compassion and support! She is very lucky to have evaded malpractice. Their visiting specialist is fantastic, but he's only there on Wednesday, which seems to be the busiest day of the week. Hint, hint. We had a horror experience with Dr. Taylor, who mid-extraction, when my son began running from her, told us she couldn't help us and had us return later that day to see the visiting specialist. We did, he was amazing and got them right out. I wish we had seen him in the first place, so my son wouldn't have that trauma. Needless to say, the sketchy experiences far out shadow any discount they may have given us along the way. Do yourself a favor and contact their visiting specialist instead. He is truly amazing! By the way, I must say that the hygienists were all very kind and competent as is Ashley, the office manager. Though she sometimes doesn't return your voicemails.
