What happens when you cancel your Dynamics 365 subscription?

You can do in entirely within your O365 portal, no need to call in to customer service. You will be told when the Dynamics 365 will be canceled (typically the day you cancel) and when the data will be deleted (typically 30 days later). Credit processing if any will also be explained. This applies to both Dynamics 365 and CRM 2016 instances.

Now it’s just a few clicks online at your Office 365 portal to make it happen. As shown below you will be given the Cancellation Date …

Resources in Use – CRM Online
As it pertains to Storage space, that still is being enforced. No way to get around that. But the status for where you stand for all your organizations has been moved to the O365 Portal.
There are been some changes to the presentation and ‘rules’ related to storage space status and also allowances for custom entities and workflows and dialogs. This kind of got right past me but thanks to fellow MVPs Adam Vero and Feridun Kadir, I am all caught up. Let me share it with you also, in …

CRM 2016 Apps – Where do you find them?

If you have just started running CRM 2016 and need to find the new apps - CRM for Phones or Tables, the new CRM App for Outlook or the good old CRM Outlook add-in, you can find them from the CRM Navigation bar.
To get to the new Apps for Dynamics CRM you can go directly to them by clicking on the Gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the CRM Screen. From there it will take you to the list of available applications. No more searching the stores or the Office 365 directory. Apps for …

Downgrading CRM from SQL Server Enterprise to SQL Server Standard

Step by step directions on how to downgrade your Dynamics CRM system using SQL Enterprise to SQL Standard.
Recently I was presented with a situation where one of our CRM clients that we had help upgrade from CRM 2011 to CRM 2016 came to the realization that their 90 day trial of SQL Enterprise that they had used was coming to the end and it was time to buy a license. Uh Oh! Have …

Invalid Argument Error – Email Templates Window

To start the resolution process let’s do a little troubleshooting first to confirm that this is the issue: Navigate to Settings > Customizations > Customize the system > Expand entities, further expand Email Templates > Click on View > Do you see that there are two Default Public Views? If so proceed with the following resolution process.
