Most UK supermarkets now sell Serrano Hams for a very reasonable £30. This strange sounding recipe is one way I found to use it.

Hi all

I've recently installed f2b on a development server and notice lots of entries in fail2ban.log showing that ips of bad guys are being ignored.

<snip> : INFO [sshd] Ignore 121.18.238.114 by ip

The offending entries in /var/log/secure are:

<snip> Received disconnect from 121.18.238.114 port 55192:11: [preauth]
<snip> Disconnected from 121.18.238.114 port 55192 [preauth]

other than localhost I have no ignores by ip, so why are they being ignored?

I've never seen ignore by ip on my production server which uses the same rules.

Thanks. Jerry

If the constant cost cutting seen on this Slade Green Redrow / Ratio development [Erith, Kent, UK] is reflected in the building quality I would avoid anything built by Redrow like the plague.

For almost five months we have had to suffer a noisy diesel generator running seven days a week for twenty four hours a day to light seven Portacabins. After initially saying they would power them from the grid,  two weeks ago, Matt Rooney [site foreman?] told me it now would not happen because it was 'too much trouble'.  Thanks to their 'caring attitude'  one of our unfortunate neighbours has now been prescribed sleep medication because of this unnecessary noise nuisance.

Lorries exiting the site leave a thick trail of mud all the way to the North end Road junction.  Now and again a lame attempt is made to clean a part of the road when they should clean the vehicle tyres before they leave the site. You've guessed it - that would be 'too much trouble'.

They have left leave public footpaths dug up and blocked for months on end and the front of the site is strewn with litter.

Complaints are impossible to make because they don't answer their phones anymore - perhaps they are too busy dealing with other complaints?

We love Taco taco shells and I'm always looking for different ways to use them. The burger relish from Jamie's Insanity burger looked an ideal accompaniment

A brilliant setup guide!
In this tutorial, we will go through the steps you can follow to install LAMP (Linux, Apache, MariaDB and PHP) stack on your Fedora 24 server and workstation.

A some very good security reminders in here.  The 'stand-out' item for me is "Users are your best allies".  It might mean you've not followed the other tips, but at least you'll know, albeit belatedly.

Great if you enjoy queuing - 17 minutes wait to pick up something I had already paid for. While I was there 5 customers came and left because of the delays.

Following my bad review, they seem to have improved. They now turn the generator off at nights and even seem to be clearing up the rubbish from the front of the site! Edit: More than 1 year ago we complained to Bexley Council and Redrow about the noisy generators running 24 hours a day, everyday, only 10 metres from our homes. After many repeated complaints the generators were switched off between 7pm and 6am. We were also told that the generators would be replaced by mains electricity by June at the latest. Guess what? It's now September and the generators are still here. Redrow staff no longer answer telephone calls so we are unable to complain to anyone. From Redrow's cavalier attitude I wouldn't hold out much hope for any Redrow purchasers reaching resolutions to problems due to shoddy construction.

Nice site if you enjoy constantly barking dogs. If you want peace and quiet I suggest you book into commercial dog kennel. The free wi-fi is flakey, plastered with adverts and insecure. A pity because the rest of the site and its facilities are good.

High quality repairs at easily quarter of the cost of a Canon repair. You can guarantee you'll get a good repair by a man who won't rip you off. He repaired my EOS40D (faulty shutter release button) £40 incl parts. Even better his telephone diagnosis of my EFS17/55 was the image stabilizer unit at £250 odd plus fitting. I said that was ok. When I collected the repaired unit, he said it was only the ribbon cable. £80 all in! £120 for a camera repair and a lens repair. An honest gentleman if ever there was. Cannot be rated high enough!

Quiet campsite, friendly, efficient and very helpful staff. Our awning was badly damaged in a storm had a few problems, the staff were extremely helpful, as were the 'resident' visitors. It's within driving distance of Eurotunnel / Calais so makes an idea first night stop. English spoken. If the office is closed, select a pitch and someone will come round in the evening.

Bill has been servicing my friends mini-cab for years and on his recommendation I got a quote for a cambelt replacement. His quote was the best we had and as an added bonus he was also able to do the tracking, which seems to be a rarity these days. Nice prompt job, economical and very friendly service. He's also taken a look at our camper van too. Highly recommended!
