I took's advice and found a video for the Kawasaki Rose, and I was actually able to do it! It took like 45 minutes and a couple of tries, but now I have a pretty rose! :)

- I keep meaning to track down a good video for that model! Can you rec the one you used? I can't tell you how many times I've tried to fold it from written instructions...not going to say it's impossible, because I've seen others manage it, but it definitely bested me.Jul 17, 2014
- Origami Kawasaki Rose by Toshikazu Kawasaki. And yeah, it's definitely easier to follow than the written instructions, especially the part where you need to do the collapsing and twisting. Once I've become better at making the Kawasaki rose, I'll see if I can make this crane/rose thing: http://goorigami.com/single-sheet-origami/origami-tsuru-rose/2489.Here's the video that I used:Jul 17, 2014
- I remember once trying to follow the written instructions I actually started laughing because it was so ridiculous. This was years ago but I guess it was pretty traumatic, I'd never been stumped trying to fold an origami flower before. I was thinking of trying to carry Kawasaki roses in my wedding and quickly realized it was unrealistic :DJul 17, 2014
