Jerod, I'm sorry to hear about your ill health and need to sell the site.  I'm hoping whom ever does accept this amazing site will continue your great work and humor.  Dealing with bipolar type 2, generalized anxiety disorder and PTSD left me in a horrible place a few years back.  Finding your site helped to inject much needed humor and easily understood issues with each medication.  Thank you so much and best wishes!

The ridiculous ban on #marriageequality is finally lifted in Montana. Pictures of happy couples from across the state getting official, state-sanctioned ceremonies so they are no longer living in sin.  More are being added all the time.
Join the Missoulian for live coverage of wedding ceremonies statewide today, as Montana couples take advantage of a judge's ruling, lifting the state's ban on gay marriage.

What I've been OCDing over lately: getting prescribing information for meds on #Crazymeds in as many different languages as possible.  I've got PIs/SPCs & PILs for Effexor in Macedonian, Maltese, Vietnamese and 30 others. For Celexa I've got them in Farsi, Georgian, Icelandic and over 20 others.  Probably more to come.  I found a bunch of Basque SPCs to join the one I already have up for Cymbalta, as well as some document I have no clue about, but the pictures are great and the med, Zyntabac, is something else.  It's a good thing you can get it only in Spain and the Netherlands because everyone in the US with an eating disorder or mania addiction would be clamoring for it, as it's a combination of bupropion and nicotine.

New designs and new medium! For everyone who likes #crazymeds designs but doesn’t want to pay $14 or more for them on clothing, and also doesn’t like how they look on little things like buttons, mugs, and bumperstickers. They start at $7 and the posters are bigger than most shirts. I’ll keep adding designs and formats, so watch this space for more news.

Celebrate being mentally interesting and medicated while fulfilling holiday obligations with #Crazymeds #MerryRxmas cards and gifts.

http://www.cafepress.com/crazymeds/11830206

Cards come in the three different covers shown below with your choice of what’s inside:
* Blank (AKA creative negative space)
* Wishing You a Merry ℞mas and A Mentally Interesting New Year
* A description of the Merry ℞mas scene depicted on the card

Mugs and magnets have Merry ℞mas – spelled out in a special holiday version of the Pill Font – on a white background.

All pictures on the cards are from in and around the glorified Unabomber shack where I live. I hope my gift of schadenfreude makes you feel a little happier.

The card with the idyllic winter scene of snow on top of a well has been available since 2013.  I now call it “Snowed In and Running Out of Meds” because for nine or ten days (I kind of lost track) in late February and early March 2014 I was completely snowed in and nearly ran out of a couple meds.  Even with a week’s supply that I keep on hand for this sort of thing I had to significantly lower my dosage of topiramate for a few days.
That well is fake.  It covers the access port to the septic tank.  Like my pickup it was completely buried.  Unlike my pickup it was where it belonged.

More new merchandise. You (or at least people who aren't imaginary) have asked for it, and I've finally produced it. Stuff in which to carry your emotional baggage.

http://www.cafepress.com/crazymeds/11746730

I'm thinking about doing shopping bags with the "{$Med} Made Me Eat It" designs. Opinions?
Some of our most popular designs on a selection of totes and other bags for you to haul around groceries, laundry, and other emotional baggage.

Stephen Fry talks about his forthcoming memoir on being a bipolar coke addict, so it's also about being a bipolar coke addict.  And how to not be so bipolar and not a coke addict thanks to MEDS!

If you're familiar with Stephen Fry's work, you know he's worth listening to. If you're not, you have no idea how empty and meaningless your life has been.

Force bigots and idiots to confront their prejudice with these stigma-busting designs. If we are not contagious, why do they take three steps back and look for excuses to leave?

Story
Tagline
Cramming a lifetime of madness into easily digestible pieces since 2002
Introduction
Born. Grew up. Fucked up left and right, otherwise did my best.  Had more fun and good luck than I probably deserved.  Had a nice career in Big Iron on two continents.  Published a zine that, given its limited circulation, was surprisingly influential in both the US and Japan.  Took too many trips to the crazy well, to the point of being unfit for polite society and gainful employment.  I've been treated for various brain cooties on and off since 1985, in Australia and the US, but continuously since 2001.

Now I'm batshit crazy for sanity, and since 2002 I've been researching all I can about medications that I've failed, medications that worked but didn't like me after a time, medications that have kept working (so far), and medications I'll probably never take but people I know have.  I've accumulated over 15 linear feet of books and journals about the psychiatric and neurological conditions I've dealt with, the medications used to treat them, and general neurological, psychiatric, and pharmacological principles.

I've also been writing about these medications to help myself and my fellow nutjobs.  Mostly on bipolar.about.com at first, then on Crazymeds since late 2003. I'm able to earn a living by sharing what I've learned it instead of sucking off of the public teat on SSDI like I had to.

My fellow fossils might remember me from my zine days.  Way back in the 1980s - 1990s when I published Poppin' Zits!, wrote, helped edit, and published the online version of Factsheet Five, wrote and did assorted other stuff for MRR.

This review is from two years ago. I plan on going to PDX this week and staying here again. ----------------- I love this place, and know where I'll be staying whenever I have to go to Portland. They have everything I want out of a motel: it's quiet, the room is actually dark when you close the drapes, they use real keys instead of those stupid cards that always give me trouble, the wi-fi works immediately upon opening my laptop - without having to jump through any hoops like entering a room number or password - and stays on, cable TV, the room had a microwave & larger-than-most mini fridge, and there's a decent place to get coffee right across the street that isn't drive-through only. Plus they have something I know lots of people wish they could find in more hotels and motels: a bathtub & shower that are as good as what they have at home. The tub is deep enough to take a real bath, and there are individual controls for hot water, cold water, and turning on the shower. Screw that crappy one-knob-for-everything most places have. And there's a shower massage, but that's fairly common. The shower head itself might be a bit low for most people, but with everything else done right I don't care. All that for under $50 a night! I hope they never change the decor. It may not be to everyone's taste, but I think it's great.
