We need to rein in the destructive power of corporations and billionaires before it’s too late. These five ideas would do that, while leaving global capitalism intact.

Ultimately, only a complete transformation of our economic system will save our future, but these proposals could set changes in motion that might eventually take us there.

I greatly enjoyed this deeply thoughtful panel last month with Ella Saltmarshe and Jerome Lewis hosted by Jessica Sweidan for Synchronicity Earth. Thanks for the insights!

Powerful work to reconnect us with each other and with the earth. Never more important than in these troubling times. If you don't already know Joanna Macy's practice of contributing to the Great Turning, I strongly recommend it!

Important article for all mainstream Democrats to read. Joe Crowley represents the past. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez represents the future - both for the Democrats and for this country. Get with the program!

Join me in a weeklong course on the themes of The Patterning Instinct at Schumacher College, Totnes, Devon from Monday, 11 June to Friday, 15 June.

In this weeklong immersion course, which I will be co-leading with my partner, Elizabeth Ferguson, you will have the chance to join others in a deep exploration of our patterns of meaning.

We'll be exploring the underlying causes for our society's current crisis, investigate the hidden patterns of thought that form our own worldview, and discover the part each of us can play in helping transition our culture to a flourishing future.

This interactive course will take you on an “archaeology of the mind,” and invite an embodied immersion into what it might mean to live the patterns of flourishing. In addition to classroom-style lectures, we'll have fun, interactive workshops, and experiential practices including outings to the beautiful countryside around Totnes.

Course capacity is limited, so I encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.

Hope to see you there!

Listen to my interview with Ayana Young, For the Wild:

Most of humanity’s ailments can be traced back to a mind virus known to some Indigenous cultures as Wetiko. Wetiko is an Algonquin word for a cannibalistic spirit that is driven by greed, excess, and selfish consumption (in Ojibwa it is windigo, wintiko in Powhatan).

We unpack the history of Wetiko spirit and its relationship to capitalism- the culmination of humanity’s hyper individualistic self destruction. Rooted in history and patterning, we explore the ancient and primeval patriarchal drive towards violence and destruction, offering us an alternative way forward based on community, collaboration and collective divestment from Wetiko through reembodying intuition and feeling sense.
