Ok, how many of you saw this video of a toddler shooting hoops? His father made a highlight video and it went truly viral on YouTube, over 30 million combined between the first video and the follow up. The toddler became famous, got the chance to beat Channing Tatum and Bradley Cooper in a shootout, and even got to show off a bit during the halftime of a college basketball game. Or how about ‘kickalicious’? a Norwegian placekicker who made a high...

What would make your lessons better  -

Just did a guest post for Stfrancis.edu, let me know what you think:

Training and development is all about the brain, teaching people better methods of accomplishing tasks and new ways to approach problems. So understanding the psychology and neuroscience impacting learning matters, and one thing you absolutely don’t want to do is have wrong ideas impacting how you teach! Here are a some common misconceptions you should watch out for:

I always wondered why people would group themselves as 'left' or 'right' brained.  Aren't I still using both hemispheres, and my opinions of preference could change over a matter of subjects- even minutes.... Cool article....

Happy National Onion Ring Day!

OK, if any of you were wondering where National Onion Ring day originated... which is probably none of you. I'll right now lay my official claim as founder of national onion ring day. Here is my proof if you're interested.

PS. I would not advise looking at other posts in this group. needless to say, spammers had a bit of a heyday with it over the past 8 years.

PPS. Yes, when I was 8 years younger I sometimes went by Germ short for Jeremy.
National Onion Ring Holiday Association, Germ, 6/3/06 10:10 PM. Forpersonal reasons I needed there to be a national onion ring day and therefore I have created the National Onion Ring Holiday Association inorder to establish June 22 as that day. so pleasehelp and spread the ...

File this away in the Awesome Marketing file: Tabasco #addtaste  twitter hashtag.
In a brilliant leveraging of a very popular hashtag, BBDO Belgium, on behalf of its client Tabasco, launched a Twitter campaign that monitored and responded to tweets which used the hashtag #notaste. For every #notaste tweet Tabasco replied with a creative tweet that included the hashtag #addtaste. For example, one tweet from @abbiebooboo read, “I […]

The service here is TERRIBLE! The place is way understaffed and the people working don't seem to really care about the customers. I walked in and wasn't greeted for about 5 minutes, then an employee took my information and told me it would take 30 minutes because three people were ahead of me in line 20 minutes later, there were still three people ahead of me and one guy who just walked in was helped before me. In sorry, but if I'm about to spend $300 dollars on a new phone I expect better service. Contrast that with the Verizon store across the street where I walked in and was helped right away. AT&T you lost a customer today.

This isn't my church, but I wholeheartedly recommend it. The pastors preach the gospel powerfully and teach the whole Bible.

This is a cool place. The two brothers who own it are friendly likable guys and the make simply the best rum and "tequila" (they can't call it tequila, because tequila made outside of mexico isn't technically tequila) I've had outside of Mexico. The aged rum is particularly fantastic, it's so rich and so creamy. If you're in the area when the tasting room is open you should check it out.

I travel a good bit and find myself away from Chicago for months at a time. You know what I crave most? It's actually not good pizza, it's Naf Naf. Give it a try and pick up a six pack of pita bread while you're there.

Try their pizza, it is some of my favorite in town and I take people to fox's all the time to for it. Their beer selection is solid as well.

This church teaches therapeutic Christianity for sin management. The message was about how you use 4 steps to escape bad habits or sin patterns in your life, and the 4 steps were sourced from psychology and not the Bible and in fact ignored central tenants of the Christian faith. Christianity is not about managing your sin or being a better person; it's about Jesus Christ, and living in the new life he has given to us. The message itself is why I rated this church so poorly, if you're not teaching the Bible then you have a serious problem. Good: This is a small church and the people are quite friendly. The pastor is intelligent, and the worship is well done with a decent band and good singers (really good worship leader). Above is my subjective opinion about the Crosswinds, here are some facts about it: Age: Primarily families middle age and older. Race: Completely white. Worship style: Contemporary Size: around 70 people, 3 pastors.

This is my church home and I love it. We live life together as we seek to follow our heavenly father, and we just have a strong community of people who want more of Jesus. If you want to visit a church that knows Jesus is our only hope and rejoices in that fact, come by and say hi.
