I'm excited to be in Nashville with everyone tomorrow!  We'll have the vBrownbag setup on-site and running all day, and for those of you interested in entering the drawing for the awesome home lab that Jacob Pennington and team are giving away, we'll be waiting for you, camera in hand. :-)

See everyone tomorrow!

In addition to them being an investor in the company I work for, Cisco and it's employees have had a lot of impact on my career.  I hate to see what's happening to them.

It is a bummer. If it is anyone we know, let me know. Love to help where I can.

Re-broadcast of the posts I made this weekend.  Happy short week, everyone!

This post details some of the work that VCE has done to API-enable the traditional hardware stacks in the Vblock, and how we are trying to build a community to extend that functionality.
You probably didn’t notice, but VCE reached a significant milestone this week.  I don’t think it got nearly as much fanfare as it should have, but the VCE Developer Portal that was announced as par...

Re-broadcast of the posts I made this weekend.  Happy short week, everyone!

This post looks at the disconnect between traditional IT and the newer, application-based consumers they are trying to service.
First off, I apologize for the relative scarcity of blog posts lately.  I hadn’t really noticed that I had slowed down, but I was (forcefully) reminded by two people that I respect very much that I...

I'd vote for her.  Make it happen, Mrs. Clinton.

"With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest, or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make? It our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator."

Introduction
I have worked in almost every technical capacity, from network engineering, to systems design, to pre-sales engineering to product management to service delivery to product development, and I have loved all of it.

I have worked for large, global companies, and have the frequent flyer miles to show for it. I have worked for small, local companies and have the relationships to show for it. I have worked for crazy start-ups and have the scars to show for it. Each have had their own challenges and charms, but the people I've gotten the opportunity to work with have always been the best part.

I hate being bored, and I hate predictability. I love meeting new people, simplifying difficult concepts, looking around corners and seeing that moment when everything falls into place.

I believe the best hardware is boring, the best software is being continually made better and the best projects are those that combine a great idea with incredible people.

I don't sleep. I never stop learning. I'm not afraid of hard work. I'm always interested in what's next.
