Had the most wonderful staff appreciation dinner at Jensen's last night. Service was excellent! Our server saw to it that all our needs were met in a timely and efficient manner. Which for 14 people was very impressive, Our food was outstanding as well! Every dish was amazing. Eagan is so extremely fortunate to have a business like this in our area! They certainly know how to make their patrons feel at home. Great Job Jensen's!

Ever since their remodel about a year ago, service has been steadily declining. Since that time, I get the impession that they view themselves as the equivalent of a Kincaid's or a Seven- they fall far short of either. This evening I attempted to place an order for carryout and Sarah (the manager, I believe) refused me because they were busy. Absurdly enough, they said I could call back in "a few hours" and order then. Over the last 5 years I've probably spent an average of $200/month at Jensen's - that ends today.

Been here twice both for birthday parties. The food is good. We had prime rib once and another time I think something less spendy. It is true the prices are quite steep but for a restaurant like this both times I've had quality food so I can't complain. I'm willing to pay more for something I can't or don't know how to make at home than food I can, that is the point of an outside experience. The one reason for the losing the first star was lighting, I'm not old and I can't imagine what it would be like if I were seeing in the dark just really gloomy atmosphere. Secondly the next star went away for the stains on my glass and silverware. If I'm paying this much some of that money could've went to the dishwasher for better soap and some to a worker to dry it. Still go try it - expect to pay big money though.

We came here for lunch and sat there for 20 minutes before getting up and leaving. The only service we had was the host bringing over some water and a lemonade. After the extended wait and two waitresses passing by our table without even stopping to ask if we were being helped, I threw five dollars on the table and we walked out. Poor showing.

Since our previous visit (over 18 mo. ago), Jensen’s Food and Cocktails has undergone a major renovation. The results are outstanding! The restaurant itself is now much brighter, very inviting, and more comfortable. The food, and our service by Linda, were top notch! Spouse ordered the parmesan walleye, served beautifully crispy on the outside with a hint of garlic, and moist and tender on the inside. The lamb chop special, described by Linda, was prepared perfectly, to medium-rare, and was served alongside a very flavorful onion/berry sauce. Both entrées were preceded by a delicious Caesar salad. A nice bottle of Jacob’s Creek Shiraz accompanied our dinner and we finished by sharing a generous portion of Jensen’s marvelous turtle cheese cake. Way to go, Jensen’s!

I had a very frustrating dining experience. The food was ok but definitely overpriced. My server was very polite and quickly removed my glass of wine with what appeared to be glass shards in it when I showed him that something was wrong with my drink. He brought me a fresh glass with the explanation from his manager that "sometimes sugar crystals form in the wine so I should not be worried." Wow! That is an absurd explanation! Sugar dissolves in liquid, even in wine. Glass in food or beverage is dangerous. I am very lucky that I noticed the glass before swallowing it. Any other restaurant would have owned up to the mishap and comped the drink. I was charged fully for my meal and made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about when I returned the drink complete with what looked a whole lot like glass shards. Definitely a very frustrating evening at Jensen's.
