So long, for now.
A lot has happened since I first started blogging here at Fondant is Gross. I've moved several times, a couple of break-ins, changed careers, and so much more. As I've grown and changed, I've found the limitations of the title I chose four years ago. So, to...

Privacy-invasive "cybersecurity" legislation is back from the dead. Two new bills were recently introduced: The Cyber Threat Sharing Act and the Senate Intelligence Committee's Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act. Both are privacy invasive cybersecurity surveillance bills that must be stopped.

From the Slot: Undrafted Players and the Hockey Hall of Fame
A question has been nagging at me: who is the first un-drafted National Hockey League player in the Hockey Hall of Fame? Well, the fast answer is the entire 1945 class of inductees. But let's pretend we want to delve a little deeper and set a few parameters...

Remodeling the Master Bedroom - IT'S SO PRETTY!
Before I moved back into the master bedroom, I wanted to change it up and really make it my own. Plus, there was a giant hole from Tesla in the wall. She went charging down the hall about two years ago, lost control, and slammed her behind into the wall, le...

White male nerds need to recognise that other people had traumatic upbringings, too - and that's different from structural oppression.

Wings win!
Wings finally pull their heads out of their asses, and snap their 6 game losing streak to a surprisingly hot, yet terrible Sabres team. I think it's safe to say now that they aren't trying to tank the season to get McDavid. K...

From the Slot: On Johan Franzen
Look, we all have those things that we are passionate about doing, whether it's good for us or not. I have a friend who's running through an injury because she has a goal to run a 15K this year. I've been guilty of it myself, running through knee injuries, ...

From the Slot: The Day Dino Ciccarelli Broke My Heart
When I was six or seven, my younger brother started to play hockey. It's the first time I remember being aware that the Red Wings existed. It's '93, '94, and Dino Ciccarelli had been with the Wings for a year or two. He was my favorite player. Being that ag...

A Mission to Civilize, er, I mean Decorate
After I finished the master and moved back in, I wanted to finish up decorating the rest of the house. There was a wall in the dining room, two walls in the living room, and some spaces smaller spaces in both rooms as well as the bathroom I wanted to finish...

A DIY Sunday or, Hell Yeah, I'm a Badass!
I've been on a kick of home decoration and home improvement since about mid-December 2014. But I'm going to start with my accomplishments from this weekend, because today's work is what makes me feel extra, super fricken awesome. Yesterday, I decided to tak...

So much more than just a lingerie store. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, the store clean and tidy. I came in with the idea to buy a certain item, and the staff made a suggestion that turned out to be 100x better than the original item I intended on purchasing. The free gift that came with my purchase is as high quality as the items I purchased. Even with a better warranty than what I bought! I will definitely return to this store again in the future. Good, quality products and salespeople. Cannot thank them enough.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Glassman Subaru, specifically, Gary Stotsky. He has been an incredible resource for me in two car purchases. The best example I can give is with my second purchase that I just completed today. He took in a car that was absolutely everything I was looking for, and called me up to let me know it was there. He was in constant communication with me from the first call Friday afternoon through the completed purchase Saturday morning. Gary is an excellent salesman who doesn't dismiss me because I'm female, and is not slimy like many salesmen are. Thank you Gary and Glassman Subaru. I'll be back. 10/10, will buy from again!
