When you sit down to read a book -- and by book I mean a real book made out of paper, not a digital book or an audio book -- what are your favorite accompaniments? What's the set up look like? Favorite drinks? Snacks?

If it's a real paper book, then I'm studying something. So table, chair. notepad and pen. Background noise is irrelevant - I wont hear it.

One step closer to mind-reading neurotechnology.

On one hand, I can imagine amazing applications of such technology - being able to better understand and communicate with animals, for example. Or recording and better understanding of dreams.

On the other, this feels a lot like every dystopian mind-controlled future we've imagined.
Scientists have used brain scanners to detect and reconstruct the faces that people are thinking of, according to a new study.

+Jeff Cave Memory is notoriously subjective.   BTW I heard they're also trying to record dreams.  Now that's  scary.

If I had all their cash I would also invest part of my profits in that sort of practical stuff.

*For specific content on Better Marketing Through Science I run the Verilliance Google+ Page

What can I say? Human behavior is interesting, and sits at the intersection of so much of what we try to accomplish in this world.

Want to get people to pay attention to your marketing message? You need to understand them.

Want to get people on board with a cause? Much easier if you understand what motivates people to action.

What else?

I've spent the last 5 years in search marketing as a social media and SEO specialist, and find myself gravitating toward conversion rate optimization.

What ELSE?

I write a lot. I run a little hobby website where I host a weekly writing challenge, and despite myself I've gathered a potently loyal community around that.

I thrive on intellectual conversation.

I have a knack for changing people's minds.

I look for the connections between things. The intersections where change can happen.

Feel free to message me to let me know what information circles you're most interested in.

Besides, if I hear from you I'm much more likely to circle you back. It helps if you like to share and discuss information about human behavior, but I like to keep my newsfeed interesting, so let me know what you're about.
