A landmark bankruptcy ruling could threaten trade relations between the U.S. and Mexico. Noted economist Dr. Arturo Porzecanski describes the “Vitro Effect” in a recent op-ed. It's a timely discussion in light of Trans Pacific Partnership meetings kicking off in Dallas tomorrow.

Who would you put on a most-loved power woman list? And, what about the same list, but for power men? Who do you admire and why?

even for this non-catholic (me), an impressive moment -- captured first hand by former u.s. ambassador to mexico ---
Antonio Garza originally shared:

i wanted to share some of the images i snapped at the basilica .... almost 500 years ago, the bishop of mexico sank to his knees when juan diego revealed to him the magnificent image of the virgin of guadalupe emblazoned on his cloak. today's feast of our lady of guadalupe, draws millions overnight and this morning to pray, reflect and celebrate.

When is yellow really pink or purple? Hitting the streets of Austin, these colorful cabs are raising funds and awareness for two great causes: Komen Austin affiliate and Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Four years ago, I had a one month old at home, and I found myself awaiting emergency surgery and two months with a feeding tube to address a perforated esophagus (the handiwork of a less than capable anesthesiologist). It taught me a lot about faith, an incredible lesson in patience, and it showed me the inherent goodness in so many people that surround me and support me daily, especially during that most difficult time. You can learn amazing life lessons at the most unexpected times and in the most unreal ways.

+Tom Currah calls it a Daffy question, but honestly I'd love to see how the giant duck costume or staff time on this one is reported:
Supporters of former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz say Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, his opponent in the race for U.S. Senate, is ducking live appearances where the two could go head to head. What’s Dew...

What drew me to EcoClean was its reputation. I appreciate the fact that we can get our dry cleaning done without the nasty chemicals of traditional dry cleaners. Their delivery service makes it so easy for working parents, too -- one less thing to have to mess with running around town to handle pick ups and drop offs. They're also incredibly responsive when questions or issues do arise, which is rare.
