Knock Knock...is this thing on?  *I'm picking out some images to critique for MGAPXL Episode 8*. Why not push some travel, street and landscape stuff my way?  I'll choose images after 4pm eastern today.

Survivors take time to carefully study this unusual rock.  The contestant who finds their way to the top just might find a coveted immunity idol.

What all these dishes really need is some tasty homemade strawberry ham.

Here is my much awaited fire entry.  Thanks for you patience.  After seeing these other shots I think I need to start recruiting people I can light on fire for this kind of stuff.  Though maybe I should reinstate my business insurance first....

This one is from last night after we arrived at Agriturismo Le Mandrie di San Paolo.  We are staying in a 1000 year old building and surrounded by olive groves.  But the tractor might be my favorite thing here. I climbed on these things like a jungle gym when I was a kid and I still can't see one without smiling.

Today's exercise in patience was waiting for a mostly empty courtyard in front of the Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi.  Yes, I know I could fix that distortion in PhotoShop, but I think it kind of fits the mood and the Gothic style of the upper cathedral.

I'm sure this little tree has had quite a struggle trying to reach his potential out on this otherwise barren rock. He's probably gone hungry at times. Perhaps he has waged a few battles against seagulls.  But just look at the view this little sprig of a tree has managed to attain for himself?  I think it was probably worth the fight.

Taken of the cost of Santa Margherita Ligure along the road to Portofino, Italy.

I think I'm guilty of processing street photos in B&W just because it is expected.  Here is one of my favorites in color instead. I think it makes a strong case for not relying on Silver Efex for all my street processing. Of course it also means I need to work a bit more on mid-tones in color work now. I think these fall just a little flat still.

Looking forward to another weekend hiking along the Italian coast.  This was Porto Azzurro (Blue Port) in Elba during the blue Hour a few weeks ago.
