Scott shines a light on how we marketers need to do a better job of understanding what our customers are thinking and feeling. He shares examples of brands that missed the boat and those that are sailing the customer satisfaction seas. Runs just over 1 hr. Volunteering with TEDxDD Women as director of speakers for 2 years gave me a lot of insight into how great talks are crafted. Here is an article worth your attention if you speak publicly, TED-stage bound or not. Enjoy. http://on.inc.com/2a9rayL #marketing   #speaking   #getmypointheard

Easy to get talked out of making the sale. An experienced sales guy explains what this is and how to avoid it...then - get selling! bit.ly/2a4Jxpg

“The handcrafted cup you’d buy from a ceramicist doesn’t hold coffee any better than the cup you buy at Walmart, but it gives you a much warmer feeling,” he says. “And the stories that the craftspeople have to offer – well, it’s very worthwhile coming and visiting with them.”

 Love it!

So how do we fix this? Is it a lack of understanding what/how to analyze...   "But perhaps even more staggering is that in the past five years the number of data sources actively analyzed by businesses has increased by just 20 per cent. That’s a lot of valuable information sitting untouched and unused  and wasted business potential." #marketing

They are everywhere, aren't they? I love them. I take them as little bits of wisdom from those who've been down the road before. They've left these gifts to ensure we keep motivated, inspired and are encouraged to keep going!  The only thing I don't like is when people use quotes online and do not attribute the quote to the author - that doesn't feel right to me.
