Good morning! It's a gloriously gray day! A mockingbird is singing beautifully outside my window and the whole world smells like wet earth. It's the perfect day to write a song ... or maybe a poem ... or maybe short story about dragons ... while sipping Earl Grey tea :)

My new favorite restaurant is Juanita's off Louetta. They've got the best margaritas I've ever had and they're huge! Food is great too. Very authentice and reasonably priced.

Wow! A very cool review from Prog Metal Zone: "Orisonata’s debut album is an excellent exposition of symphonic metal with elements of drama, epic heaviness and some great use of unexpected elements that add great color to the album."

Google+ adds cool stats to your profile, posts, photos, etc! Great news for brands and anyone else who is curious to know how many people view (not just like, comment, or share) your stuff.
Google just made it much easier to quantify how popular you are.

Introduction
2010 Houston Press Music Award Winner, "Best Keyboards"

Jennifer Grassman is a Texas based pianist, vocalist and songwriter. In a 2010 interview with The American Chronicle, Grassman stated, “Every time I write a song I do it in the hope that it will inspire, comfort, entertain, or fascinate someone out there.” Most of Grassman’s latest compositions are featured on her 2010 release, Serpent Tales & Nighitngales.

Serpent Tales and Nightingales is ... "a swirl of lush arrangements and emotional, tumultuous lyrics. There are tempestuous pianos, crashing drums and velvety vocals."

Joey Guerra, The Houston Chronicle

"One of the more intriguing albums I've heard in a while, Grassman's 58-minute opus is a unique mix of bombastic prog rock, piano pop, and opera."

Mark Moring, Christianity Today

Dr. Richter may be fine if you have a textbook pregnancy and delivery, but if anything goes wrong, she'll completely neglect you. My 2nd pregnancy was difficult. At Week 24 I began having “unproductive preterm labor.” Despite the diagnosis, every time I called All About Women with contractions or bleeding, the nurse acted like it was all in my head and actually sounded annoyed. L&D couldn't stop my contractions, so I was prescribed medication and partial bedrest for the remaining 16 weeks of my pregnancy. When I finally delivered, my body was so exhausted, I completely tore my glute while pushing. I was in the hospital for 6 days, in agony, unable to walk. After sending me home, I was in so much pain I was throwing up and couldn't hold my baby, but Richter refused to prescribe me pain medicine or refer me to an injury specialist. She also canceled my follow up appointments with her, and her nurse hung up on me when I called. I called my insurance and was eventually treated by a pain management doctor and physical therapist, who both seemed dismayed, and said my injury was mismanaged by Richter. I couldn't pick up my baby for 4 weeks or walk without crutches for 9 weeks. I sent a formal complaint to the Texas Medical Board, and later received a terse letter from Richter saying she will no longer be my doctor.

I injured myself during labor with my second baby and was in agonizing pain and couldn't walk or even pick up my baby. My OBGYN and a neurologist ran tests, did x-rays, and a CT scan, and neither could figure out what was wrong or seemed very interested in helping me. Thankfully, I contacted The Sprintz Center, and after a very gentle evaluation and insightful discussion, Dr. Berry diagnosed me with a torn glute. The Sprintz Center is now helping me manage my pain safely while I nurse my baby, and I am having physical therapy to help me heal as quickly as possible. I am so grateful to The Sprintz Center for getting me in for an appointment so quickly, taking time to talk to me, and taking initiative to make sure I'm cared for. It's such a relief to finally know what's wrong and have a working plan for recovery!

I had just given birth to my 1st child 6 days before, when I realized I had developed a UTI. Dr. Johnson prescribed Nitrofur Macr. However, after taking the drug for two days, I discovered that Nirtrofur is not recommended for mothers breastfeeding an infant under one month of age. In fact, the paperwork that came with the prescription states, "THIS MEDICINE IS FOUND in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED infants younger than 1 month old while you are taking this medicine." My daughter was only one week old, so naturally, I was very concerned. When I called Dr. Johnson she answered the phone in an irritated tone saying, "What is it now?" I was very respectful, and said I was uncomfortable taking Nitrofur while breastfeeding, and asked if she'd mind prescribing me something else. At this, Dr. Johnson became defensive. She told me she would never prescribe me something that wasn't safe, that Nitrofur was the mildest antibiotic available, and that she always prescribed it to her patients. She also said, "You can stop taking it. That's your choice. Your UTI will come back, but I'm not prescribing you anything else." To me, this response came off as rude and condescending. I was in agony with a UTI and all the aftereffects of delivery, yet she refused to work with me to find an antibiotic I felt safe taking.

Absolutely the best margaritas I've ever had! They also happen to be large, strong, and only about $6. We've been three times and the food has been consistently good, the service is very friendly, always parking and no wait. It's a great place for kids. Very casual, not too noisy, and seems family owned and operated. Very authentic Mexican menu and vibe.

We love Spring Fitness and the team that manages the gym. It's very family friendly and a relaxed atmosphere, so as a new mom with baby fat, I don't feel awkward or embarrassed working out, and I'm happy with their nursery / child care as well. I've never been nervous about leaving my 5 mo old with them. Most of the other people that work out there are really polite. During the day when I work out it's mostly other moms, off duty cops, and fire fighters ... So I always feel safe! Haha! There's a separate women's area, a big aerobics room (where I've taken a lot of free yoga and pilates classes), and nice clean bathrooms. The other nice thing is there's always trainers wandering around who are happy to help you figure out the machinery and give you workout tips. My only complaint is that my hubby and I are going to be moving soon and there's no Spring Fitness close to our new house! I will settle for a Y or something meanwhile .... but I'm hoping they open another location close to our new house soon (o:

I'm a first time pregnant mom with a propensity for UTI's. It's scary because - besides being very painful - if they develop into a kidney infection, they could cause me to go into preterm labor. Dr. Sukin and my OBGYN, Andrea Richter-Werning, have been working in tandem to make my pregnancy safe and healthy; actually talking on the phone and corresponding. I am so grateful to have such wonderful doctors and I highly recommend Dr. Sukin. He's very friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and reassuring to a first time mom!
