THE place to BE for Macro Monday Mania!

I called about a house for rent a few weeks ago. About 4 days later I got a voicemail from Mr. Liette at 230 in the morning on a Saturday morning telling me that the house was still available and to call his cell as opposed to the number posted on all of his signs around town. I called back (on a Monday), left a message. Called back a week later and then again that same week. I drove past the house only to see that someone was moving in. VERY unprofessional. They lost out on a great tenant and I will absolutely be telling people about this if they mention wanting to rent from him.

We walked in as out-of-towners and walked out kind of feeling like family. We definitely did NOT fit in when we pulled up to this hidden building. There were two police cars out front so we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. We walked in and I bet there were over 300 people in this place. It was loud, crazy and we had a blast! Not to mention we walked out with about $500 from the pull tabs. There was an older black lady, Lily, that helped us the whole time since it was different than here in Ohio. I didn't like that they only did double line, triple line and blackouts. Switch it up a little!! But, I got a free tulip and a box of chocolates, I'm assuming it was for V-day. It was also only $20 a person (we got there at 7 and didn't get out until after 10). Definitely recommending. I wish we could go back but we gave our free "first timers freebi" to Lily, along with a $20 to come back the next day. :)

We came here from out of town on a Friday night and were told it was going to be a 45 minute wait, which was understandable since the place was PACKED. We only waited for 15 minutes and that was impressive. Then we ordered a coke and an iced tea, the waiter (seemed new) brought diet and took a really long time to replace it. I ordered a steak- medium, no blood, but pink. It was rare. I have been in customer service so I nicely asked him to take it back and bring a new one. They brought the same steak back, (it had my cut marks in it) That would have been fine if the outside weren't well done. The balsamic vinaigrette was FANTASTIC. That was probably my favorite thing from the whole meal. My dinner date was a man that would eat anything put in front of him so he didn't complain about anything other than the diet coke situation. I think they just need to train their staff better at waiting on customers, timing and cooking steaks, I saw a few other reviews that said the steaks were "peppery" and they really are. We would go back if ever in the area.

While out of town on a mini vacation, we wanted pizza. Being a fan of "hole in the wall" pizzerias, I looked up this pizza on Google. The typical chains came up but I wanted something different. The first place was closed since it was after 11 and this place has the same name as a childhood pizza place from where I grew up so I had to try it. We walked in and there is no seating so we obviously ordered to go. There was one guy in there, very friendly and he had our pizza ready in 10 minutes! we ordered half a meat eater and half works for $19. Also, they have flavored crust that is delicious. We had the garlic and herb. I would put this place at a 7 out of 10 just because I don't like thicker pizza. If you like East of Chicago, then this is the place to go, onlyt better.

Our waitress didn't seem to enthused to be there this morning. She wanted to stand and talk to us right after she brought our food and we just wanted to eat. I wanted blueberry-cheesecake pancakes and she looked at me like I had asked her to do a back-flip. Just add blueberries to the NY cheesecake pancakes... Lol She was rather lazy, we watched her demand the busboy clean a different table up while she stood up at her computer-not computing anything, but bossing him around every time he would come back. Service wasn't spectacular, I just assume we got the one who has been there for too long. We would go back if ever in the area.

Other than my two hour sign-up process, I LOVE this place. They're hours are great, the daycare hours are great, I can tan!, I DONT have to pay for classes (like I did at the Y), there are no men and the women there are so polite and understanding. The only con I have: Build a Premier Ladies Fitness in Troy! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! :) Update: I cancelled within the alloted time (two weeks after signing up) and they billed me for over $900. No way would I recommend them.
