A few thoughts on the Hollywood hype of breastfeeding.  What I'm NOT saying in this post: that moms who breastfeed aren't sexy.  I just think there is a difference between "sexy" and "beautiful"... what do you think?

New blog post... The biggest lie we tell our children (without saying a word) #parenthood   #toughlessons
It has been awhile since I read the book “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” by Robert Fulghum.  It was in my pre-parenthood days.  It was so insightful, so refreshing, so inspiring when I read it. Then I had children, and now I have an entirely different perspective as I’m living […]

The biggest lie we tell our children (without saying a word).  Harsh reality sometimes.

New blog post... NEVER START A DIET IN DECEMBER.  Tasty treats abound...  I've also included a recipe and a play-by-play from fixing these goodies with my kids "helping".
Never start a diet in December. Sage advice, trust me.  Between the parties, get-togethers, cookie swaps, gifts, and office munching, treats abound this time of year. You can either accept it, enjoy a taste here and there, or just jump in with both feet and have a little bit of everything. Most Christmas treats I […]

A messy life... full of Grace.
Introduction
What exactly is a GracefulMess? It is someone that navigates the "messes" of life with that feeling that they just don't quite have it all together. Often feeling inadequate, incomplete, and flustered... these "messes" may feel as though they just don't always stack up. BUT the best part is the "grace"! Grace is when we get what we don't deserve. Grace is loving the unloved. Grace is forgiving the unforgivable. Grace is staring fear in the face and being fearless. Grace is something we are given freely with God's love. I started this community to show how I navigate my GracefulMesses... they may even sound a bit like yours.

Bragging rights
Love my husband and our two sweet children. Living life the best way we can as Georgia transplants in Maine.
