Every single mom can relate... you lose your sh*t and you recover. There is no other way...
Sitting in our surprisingly clean living room, I watch the morning sun filter through the trees and into our home. My oldest, Sassy, is quietly reading in her room while her brother, Chachi, is still sleeping.  I love these mornings.  I force myself to get up early just to enjoy this extra time by…

If you truly want to be successful in your work-from-home business, it’s critical that you get your fella on board with your ideas and expectations ASAP.  I’ve shared my personal experience with owning a business and the disappointment I felt when I wasn't fully supported by my husband, and now…

Dreams of a lazy, relaxed summer reminiscent of the 1970s float through my head as I map out our summer. My type-A personality is all aflutter as I fill out index cards with activities, camps, and getaways. This yearly routine always starts in March and usually ends up with me diving nose first into…

Find the right business coach by doing the leg work - so many fake consultants out there!
It all sounded wonderful! The woman on the other end of the phone was going to help me strategize and take my business to the next level. She seemed sincere and knowledgeable.Until I realized she was reading from a script.Wait. Are you serious? Yes. Dead serious. The woman I was hoping would be…

Growing up, I had one teacher that remains unrivaled to this day.  She wore Birkenstocks with dresses, cooked lentils for more meals than I can count and recycled every bottle she could find, long before it was the hip thing to do.I'm talking about my mom.  My passive teacher.Years later I'm…

She padded into the kitchen, squinting and shielding her eyes, but I didn’t give her a chance to adjust to the morning light. I swept her up into my arms and spun her around the room showering her with kisses and nuzzled her as we twirled. As her eyes opened, so did her heart. She held on tight…

Earlier today I randomly clicked on a Gary Vaynerchuk YouTube video (he’s king of the swears, so brace yourself and put on headphones) about being an entrepreneur. While I only caught the intro (because ya know I had to dash over here and write this post for you all), I was hit with a bomb of…

We can't avoid it. Working from home when the kids are on break... so we might as well get creative!

As I tossed my bag into the back of my car and slid into the driver’s seat, a wave of mediocrity slowly flowed through me. I wasn’t sure why, but I knew it was the wrong emotion to be feeling after what just happened. I had just made a $5K sale with my photo business, and I should be…

Guess what? I'm writing a book and I want you to be in it!

It's a book for all mamas. The ones who feel like they’ve got motherhood nailed, the ones who feel like every day is a crap-shoot, and especially those who feel like they're drowning. You are not alone. We are all in this together.

Share your story and be in the book.
There we sat. Feeling like frauds. How on earth did we get to this place? Sitting in a hospital room, waiting to be sent out into the world with a tiny baby that we couldn't even get into the car seat without help.Something must be wrong with the universe.Somehow we slipped under the radar and…

+Jennifer Chaney I laugh at the struggle to raise my children on a daily basis.  As I am currently hiding just to enjoy my cup of coffee.  I am so game!

Hell. Yes.
Inspire your kids to do more than pick up their rooms.

Fillings for a 5 year old - an unbelievably perfect experience. Dr. Ozzie is amazing. My 5 year sadly had 2 cavities. I was so worried about getting them filled... I didn't want to scar him for life. But she was so wonderful. The second they found the cavities, they never mentioned the procedure to him and acted like it wasn't a big deal. So relieving! Yesterday we went in and everything Dr. Ozzie and her staff did made the whole process fun (for both of us!) She doesn't bother them with the details... she understands how powerful the mind is, so she makes up alternate realities for what is really happening (sugar bugs need to be cleaned up. There is a trampoline just for the sugar bugs, etc...) My son didn't flinch once. In fact, he came home happy about it and was bragging about it to his dad later that day. So sweet. I recommend Dr. Ozzie 100%. I wish she took adults!
