Having a hard time making a decision on the next blanket to knit.
DK/Worsted version- 4 strands of recycled cashmere, this is how I have done my other blankets (log cabin, straight garter, and knit on the diagonal). Takes quite a while to knit and feels a bit delicate, but fluffs up beautifully. Probably a bit better for multi season use.
Bulky- 8 strands, much thicker but faster to knit. Probably won't have the same halo when washed, but will be very warm. Downside- double the yarn (at least), potential to look much more modern/blocky, and will take up a lot more storage space when not in use. Fun how fast it goes though!
(In the pictures, the top one is bulky, lower is Dk/worsted)
