Introduction
I write science fiction and fantasy adventure stories for readers of all ages. My first novel, Jade Tiger, is an action-adventure kung fu romance for adults. I've just finished a middle-grade adventure trilogy for Candlewick Press. Book one, Above World, was a Norton Award finalist, and the paperback of book three, Horizon, will be released in March, 2015. I live in Los Angeles where I play video games, watch tons of TV, and dream of rain.

Eye-opening read for coffee drinkers. I'll be looking for "shade grown" and "bird friendly" from now on.
More environmentally beneficial shade-grown coffee has actually declined as sales of supposedly sustainable coffee have risen
