June 12th, 2015 - Let the journey begin. :-)
I think that the route to Alaska is now settled. For the past several years, I have adjusted it regularly to accommodate new items of interest to me. Of course it seems like every month I have to do a complete readjustment to squeeze in another stop or two into what most likely be my only trip ...

Had a valve inspection done in the fall of 2013. They did an excellent job and synced the carbs for a very reasonable price. Yes, I'll be going back for more work as needed.

Portion size: AVERAGE AT BEST. Quality: POOR (IMHO). Ordered General Tso Chicken (not on the menu). Chicken was over fried to the point of being devoid of all moisture. Pretty much like eating very dry jerky. Sauce was likely just your basic, run of the mill, flavored corn syrup it seemed. Price: OK, but...found out after I paid my bill and gave a generous tip (waitress was very courteous) that the bill included an 18% gratuity charge. Will I be returning: NO. Hope you have a better experience that I.

Rent for 1 bedroom Townhome is now at $1260.00. Just a bit to much for me. Time to see what else is out there. I have to admit, I have in unit washer and dryer and a connected garage but the gas/electric bill this winter went north of 171.xx dollars. I keep the heat at 67(ish) degrees. I've been told it's a bit chilly in my home but I'm comfortable with it. The snow removal service this year was seriously lacking. Management said they would be hiring a new service next year..I hope so. Enforcement of the parking policy or lack thereof was an issue again this year. Per documents receive upon signing a rental agreement, no vehicle is to be parked for longer than 24 hours. If so, it is subject to being towed. This year and last there were vehicles that sat for two months or more. This is generally not a problem in the summer but during the winter parking becomes more of an issue as people tend to park cars for extended periods of time (studying abroad seems to be one reason as I found out last year) The snow removal service neglects to push the snow clear of the parking areas as the winter progresses. Management has stated that they do not monitor the parking within the development and that it is the responsibility of the tenants to report problem vehicles. My question would be then...why have the rule of you're not going to enforce it? I am fortunate to have good neighbors. Rarely do I hear them. In summary: It's an ok place but it's getting a bit expensive for me. UPDATE: AC went out this past weekend. Maintenance was on it first thing Monday morning. Once the issue was fixed I received a call letting me know what the problem was. They even asked me if I'd like it turned back on and at what temp setting. I have to give them an A+ on this one. Have to say after living here for 8 months I'm very happy. The management has been good about addressing issues and keeping the common areas and roads in good shape. It's a bit expensive at 1205.00 per month for a one bedroom townhome but the location is excellent. Use caution when driving through the community though. The road is narrow and it's difficult to see around the bends due to parked cars on the inside of the curve.
