The most important part of the attribution model solution description here is the last sentence: " Data-Driven Attribution seeks to best represent the actual behavior of customers in the real world, but is an estimate that should be validated as much as possible using controlled experimentation." There is no simple, "one-size-fits-all," out of the box algo, but one can get there with a solid framework, careful integration of analytics and controlled experiments. Hopefully this attribution model serves as the solid framework and, thus, a starting point.
