+LG&E and KU Energy LLC Just curious: why did you sell my email address to +Nest

It doesn't appear that you are a Nest Energy Partner (according to https://nest.com/energy-partners/ ), so I'm curious what the rationale was here...
Save energy and earn rewards with the Nest Learning Thermostat.

If programming languages were vehicles...

Yes, vehicles.

C was the great all-arounder: compact, powerful, goes everywhere, and reliable in situations where your life depends on it. C++ is the new C — twice the power, twice the size, works in hostile environments, and if you try to use it without care and special training you will probably crash.

New season / new Doctor! #Tivo recorded the season opener Saturday night!

And then Tivo said, "Oh, you like +Doctor Who?  Cool!  Let me record another 3,000 episodes on Saturday night / Sunday afternoon.  ...but let me erase the first 2,995 episodes that I recorded so that I have enough space for them all^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hthe last 5."

(yes, that includes deleting the season opener before I saw it)

I don't think I made as big a deal about this the other day as I should have: YOU CAN HACK YOUR +General Electric APPLIANCE.  WITH AN SDK FROM GE.

I ordered 2 Green Beans (i.e., the USB device you hook into your GE appliance) on Friday; they showed up today.

I will be hacking our washer and dryer shortly.

Pure genius.  Gives new meaning to the phrase "cat burglar."
The next time you see your neighbor's cat walking along your fence line, there might be more going on than the annoyance of the cat coming into your yard. That cat could be checking your WiFi for ...
