If you don't know how to Unvite someone ... here is a quick tutorial on how.

There is nothing wrong with Unviting. This is just good LinkedIn hygiene.

There is a text version and a video version. Choose the one you like ... and Happy Unviting!

It's Friday and after 5pm.
I hope you are sliding into the weekend ... and that you'll be safe in whatever you decide to do.

Kudos and congrats to Box's Aaron Levie

Great segment on CBS This Morning today.

I still remember when I met Aaron at a SharePoint event and the company was just getting started. The biz and the industry have come a long way since then. Now Box is valued at $1.5B

Also, kudos to the Box engineering teams for making a solid product and the marketing, sales and PR teams for getting the word out.

#TBT --- Good Partnerships are like Good Gardens

If you have ever grown anything you know it takes work. You know it takes planning, you know it takes care & feeding too, and you know it takes a bit of a leap of faith that you did everything right.

Most of all … You also know that it takes time.

Things I said last night in Redmond ...

"It's like going from radio to color television."

In response to someone with a Windows Phone asking me about the switch to an iPhone.

Story
Introduction

I helped found and am on the board of the Social Media Club Seattle. I have helped organize the Twestival Seattle events and I spend a lot of time thinking about how Social affects Businesses and vice-versa.

I am a veteran of the Enterprise Content Management industry. Over the past 20 years I have worked with customers and partners around the world to design, develop and deploy solutions that exactly meet their needs. Currently I am the Director of Strategic Alliances at Winshuttle where we help optimize complex business processes in SAP and Microsoft SharePoint. I have also worked for Microsoft, Kodak, FileNet (IBM), K2, Captaris, Open Text, and Kofax. I travel a lot, as well as speak and write about ECM and the intersection of Social, Mobile and Cloud Computing and how companies are putting these tools to work in their businesses.

In my spare time I like to get out and ride my Mtn Bike, Wake Surf, ride my Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board, and spend time watching and helping our kids in all of their endeavors.

My two mottos:

Take Responsibility for your Own Actions and Life is Short … Live it!

I've been here several times and I will keep coming back. It's got old world charm and a great menu plus a nice wine selection. I've had the Sweetbreads, the Steak au poivre and the Beef Bourguignon. Try them all ... you will not be disappointed. Stay for a while and enjoy the ambiance.
