Can the Apple Watch Work for Businesses?

There are at least two market segments that are ready for some iWatch LUV. What other business segments can you think of?

TL:DR - Amazing statistics on how far down Kodak has fallen.

I'm still a fan of my former employer, but they've got some very tough challenges ahead. Could they have done things differently? Of course. But, it is what it is. The current CEO has a slash and burn mentality ... because he has to. It remains to be seen where Kodak will end up, but the last line says it all.

At Kodak, Clinging to a Future Beyond Film. Video | After the Kodak Moment Kodak has prioritized its patent portfolio and the Eastman Business Park since it declared bankruptcy in 2012. Despite some success, the company might never live up to the legacy of its own past.

K2's $100M was actually a $153M round of fundraising.

It's great to see the K2 leadership team - Adriaan Van Wyk, Olaf Wagner, Dave Marcus, Warren Bingham and Grant Dickenson get the recognition they deserve for building the business to this point and ramping up for the next steps.

Story
Introduction

I helped found and am on the board of the Social Media Club Seattle. I have helped organize the Twestival Seattle events and I spend a lot of time thinking about how Social affects Businesses and vice-versa.

I am a veteran of the Enterprise Content Management industry. Over the past 20 years I have worked with customers and partners around the world to design, develop and deploy solutions that exactly meet their needs. Currently I am the Director of Strategic Alliances at Winshuttle where we help optimize complex business processes in SAP and Microsoft SharePoint. I have also worked for Microsoft, Kodak, FileNet (IBM), K2, Captaris, Open Text, and Kofax. I travel a lot, as well as speak and write about ECM and the intersection of Social, Mobile and Cloud Computing and how companies are putting these tools to work in their businesses.

In my spare time I like to get out and ride my Mtn Bike, Wake Surf, ride my Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board, and spend time watching and helping our kids in all of their endeavors.

My two mottos:

Take Responsibility for your Own Actions and Life is Short … Live it!

I've been here several times and I will keep coming back. It's got old world charm and a great menu plus a nice wine selection. I've had the Sweetbreads, the Steak au poivre and the Beef Bourguignon. Try them all ... you will not be disappointed. Stay for a while and enjoy the ambiance.
