LOL +FOX Sports leaving the Titans Seahawks in overtime to watch Oakland and Washington walking around the field in pregame.  Guess I know what channel I won't be watching anymore for NFL.

Get this done - you (a collective you) already set the nhl back 10+ years - and you absolutely have to make sure this never happens again or you will lose at least one die hard fan forever

Will the +NHL seek a federal mediator?

I remember when Hat Creek had much better fishing. Some large flushing water flows in the Spring to clear silt out of the gravel would probably help.

Sad what's happening in High Sierra lakes:
National Park Service Seeks Public Comments on Plan to Restore High Elevation Aquatic Ecosystems in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks - September 26, 2013
http://www.nps.gov/seki/parkmgmt/upload/FINAL-NR-Aquatics-EIS.pdf
"The management preferred alternative in the Restoration Plan/DEIS proposes removing nonnative fish to 87 (16%) of the parks' approximately 549 high elevation lakes, ponds and marshes known to contain fish"

Note that's 16% of the lakes known to contain trout, which are only 35 to 50% of the total lakes according to one of the frog researchers:

"Lakes larger than 1 ha (2.5 ac) within Sierra Nevada national parks were estimated to have from 35 to 50 percent non-native fish occupancy, a 29 to 44 percent decrease since fish stocking was terminated (Knapp 1996)."

This process is being replicated in Yosemite National Park, and possibly in Sequoia, Sierra, Inyo and Toiyabe National Forests.

Never mind that we've lost one species of golden trout already, and the remaining pure strain exists in a single creek drainage.  Apparently endangered trout don't deserve the same degree of protection through an extensive stocking program.

Initially we tried to go up to Burst Rock but the trail had a couple of feet of snow on it so we settled for a Bear Lake hike. Temps in the 40s while at home it was 80. Awesome day for a hike though.
