The Focus RS – equipped with a special 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine engineered to produce well in excess of 320 PS – is the latest vehicle to be unveiled as part of a new era of Ford performance that will bring more than 12 performance vehicles to global customers by 2020.

In addition to pleasing enthusiasts, these vehicles help deliver the company’s One Ford plan for profitable growth, product excellence and innovation in every part of its business.

Sporting a dramatic exterior design that delivers enhanced aerodynamics and cooling, the new Focus RS offers technologies new to the RS marque including Ford SYNC connectivity system.

The all-new Focus RS is the first ever RS model that will be sold around the world and will be produced for all markets at Ford’s Saarlouis, Germany, manufacturing plant beginning late this year.

**Breaking News Ford Motor Company - Dearborn, MI**
Ford Motor Company is reminding vehicle owners of its recommendation to replace tires, even unused tires, after six years, regardless of tread wear, and to practice proper tire maintenance.

Ford research has determined tires degrade over a period of time due to such factors as weather, storage conditions, and type of use including load, speed and inflation pressure.

“Even if they aren’t being used, tires will degrade over a period of time, so it’s best to keep a careful eye on them,” said Steve Kenner, global director, Ford Automotive Safety Office. “Ford wants to remind motorists that by keeping a vigilant eye on the condition of their tires, they can help ensure safety out on the roads and better performance from their vehicle.”

If your vehicle has tires (regardless of brand) please ensure your safety and others who share the road with you well enough to replace the tires after 6 years regardless of tread wear.  Each year there are nearly 11,000 tire-related crashes in the USA and nearly 200 people die every year in those tire related crashes.

What’s better than a car that helps prevent spinouts once they occur? The answer at Ford Motor Company is a car that can predict a spin before it even begins.

The new 2015 Ford Focus features stability control technology that actively determines when a car meets the conditions that may lead to a spin and intervenes early to help prevent the driver from losing control.

The feature – known as enhanced transitional stability technology – can help deliver better handling in highly dynamic driving maneuvers. Information related to the car’s speed, steering wheel position, turn rate of the steering wheel and other input is considered to determine when a skid is imminent. Once a risk is identified, braking is applied to individual wheels to help the driver maintain control and continue on the intended path.
