I never had it, and I never will. My relationship status will just have to remain a mystery to everyone in the world.

Worth the three minutes to read. Have a tissue handy, especially if you're a parent.

Oh my GOSH! Such a touching article, and makes a really good point. Well worth the read!
In 2014 my baby daughter Elouisa died in my arms and my life changed forever. Some weeks later, my husband helped me name a curious result…

This frightens the hell out of me.

How people behave when they think they're among members of the same ideological tribe is very revealing.

And they found no nefarious activity. Shocking! They must all be lying, because that's easier to believe than the concept that contrails are simply suspended ice crystals and vapor. That's far too simple and plausible. Not nearly conspiratorial enough.

What a pathetic little self-serving man he is. Look at all the resources that his presence demanded that could have been more gainfully used to help the victims. Not a political event? FFS, how stupid does that sub-goblin Conway think we are?

Pictures of this little boy have devastated me. His little arms and legs, his little belly...look just like my little boy. Tears in my eyes as I write this. People who instigate and support war and violence (remember "I'll bomb the shit outta them!"?) have no soul. No soul.

LAST CHANCE! PLEASE HELP US HELP OTHERS!

The Center for Violence-Free Relationships is a Sacramento, CA area non-profit that supports survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. My employer is teaming up with The Center to raise funds for their program by making me wear high heels. That's right, yours truly is walking a mile in red pumps for the cause in a "Walk a Mile in her Shoes" fundraising effort. And...

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Without your donations, the effort is just a pair of sore feet. Please make my bunyons worth the pain by giving a little (or a lot) to the cause. My team is Christina Salomon's Toe Jammers, and here we are dressed up in our regalia: https://goo.gl/photos/a1VEAyq7U3uEXJC39

Here's the address to donate:

http://thecenternow.org/donate/blue-shield-walk-mile/

Make sure to select Christina Salomon's Toe Jammers as your team of choice (or another team, for that matter...the teams are just an ego-stroke for us...it all goes to the same great cause).

Thanks so much for giving to this wonderful cause. Domestic violence, especially its effect on children, isn't given the visibility and attention that it deserves, and your donation will go a long way toward easing the pain that the most vulnerable among us suffer.

Here's The Center's bio (http://thecenternow.org/about-us/the-centers-history/):

The Center for Violence-Free Relationships has a rich history dating back to its inception in 1979. For over 35 years, The Center has been healing children and families whose lives have been impacted by sexual assault and domestic violence. The Center is recognized at the local, state and national level for its innovative, groundbreaking programs, and its ability to provide essential services to families in need.

The Center was initially founded by members of the El Dorado County Commission on the Status of Women to meet the needs of displaced homemakers. In 1981, The Center shifted its focus from meeting the needs of displaced homemakers to providing services to victims of domestic violence when it became apparent that many of our displaced homemakers were displaced due to domestic violence and sexual assault.

There is new information surfacing about children and trauma and in 2013 The Center began to incorporate this new knowledge into our service delivery programs in order to impact the inter-generational transmission of interpersonal violence (IGTIV) in our local community. Utilizing a Theory of Change to narrow our target population and increase our effectiveness and accountability, The Center became a performance driven organization measuring the impact each program and service is having towards stopping IGTIV.

Rather than focusing on victim centric services that are ineffective at eliminating recidivism and do not address the root causes of domestic violence and sexual assault; focusing on the next generation will give The Center the chance to actually eliminate domestic violence.

Poor schools, lack of jobs, etc., the fault of the Dems? How about the OWM (Old White Men) in Congress and state government who consistently vote to cut school funding, who won't let jobs bills even get a vote, who arrange to deny black folk their constitutional right to vote? I'll tell you what they've got to lose, Don. Everything they've gained in the last century. That's what.

Even scripted, this guy is absurd.
Just 1 percent of black voters currently support the GOP nominee.

Good for you, Loretta. Whether Aetna's reasons were as they say, or as the evidence suggests, a company's blustering, profit-motivated demands should not dictate DoJ policy. Aetna will lose out (or come crawling back as the ACA marketplaces stabilize, which they will) and others will fill the gap.
Insurance giant claims losses alone spurred decision, but there are clear links to merger.

Time for the people in the markets where Aetna remains to boycott/switch insurance companies. Just in case Aetna bails on them next.

I've been working with Eric for several years, and every time he has turned a negative experience (accident) into something that leaves me feeling good. His better-than-new philosophy leaves you feeling like the inconvenience of having an accident was actually all worthwhile! The work is outstanding, and he has always done a little extra with each job that he just throws in because he's a good guy. Eric and his Masters Auto Body staff are one of the few remaining examples of a small business that is its customers' partner. We recently moved out of the Bay Area, but will continue to bring Eric our body repair issues. It's worth the drive!

We've been taking our vehicles to Pete's Unocal since Pete actually owned it. The service is always top notch, and the pricing is right. It seems that there's always the little "freebies" whenever I've had work done ("we noticed that your brake light was out, so we just replaced the bulb...no charge"). They'll also tell you when they can't do something, but will know who can. I wish more businesses shared these guys' ethics.
