First, I don't care for the rights Time requires to allow people to post on their site, so I'll place my comment here instead.

Yes, the sky is truly the limit wrt mobile and TV app development!

But it's too bad that many employers, even in California, have onerous employment agreements laying claim to IP and licensing rights to anything their employees create at home on their own time. This will not only hurt the mobile app development market, but entrepreneurism in general as well as the overall economy because less startups will be launched, and many of those started will have a dark cloud over their claims of complete ownership of their IP/products which will in some cases raise red flags to potential VCs.
