Gotta love new tools!  Now I just need one that is coarse enough to fix my 'rescued' drawknife's edge.

I have some pretty curved drawknives. Like this one:

You have axes like that? I'd like to see those.

How old does a machine need to be before it is from "the good ole days"?

For those who like celebrity woodworking (or just need a T-shirt) I noticed NIck Offerman now has some tees.

Designer Greg Klassen uses the edge pieces from discarded trees (acquired from construction sites, homes, and rotting trees) to create the banks and shores of rivers and lakes for his one-of-a-kind tables. See much more at the link.

This seemingly came in unannounced but I noticed them about 10 mins ago on the LV website.  Can't wait to hear from someone that uses them.

I really didn't expect the 250 to be up to the task; it was a pleasant surprise watching this video.  Thanks Paul.

An india stone and a strop were the tools of choice for a oboist I knew in the 70's.  If it is sharp enough for an oboist, it is sharp enough.

Most of you are probably aware of this related resource but perhaps there are a few for whom this will be a revelation.

It's a great site. I used it to look up the serial number of my new jointer and place it circa 1955.

Pulled the trigger on a MiniMax 20" bandsaw today!  A local hw store actually had a great price, delivered and all.  After looking into shipping from the OEM I was depressed, but it all worked out.  Now do I sell the 14" or tuck it in a corner for now.
